Races PRX Sha Tin - HK

Finished last in a Class 3 over 1200m at this track first-up, beaten a long way at big odds after being bumped and making no progress. His previous run was also in Class 3 company when tenth, beaten eight and a half lengths. A place hope only if the softer grade sparks improvement.

Was full of merit when fourth at this track last start, beaten two lengths after being held up at key stages before finding the line late. That followed a head win at this venue over Ka Ying Glory, and his record at this track and distance reads well from a small sample. Proven at this track and distance and looks a major player.

Was well found in betting when resuming at this track and held second into the straight before fading to ninth, beaten just over six lengths. The margin was plain, and Grand Patch has a recent edge, but he is a two-time track-and-distance winner with Zac Purton going on and blinkers added first time. Recent trial was much better and a turnaround in recent form is on the cards.

Was taken back from a wide draw at Happy Valley last start and finished tenth, beaten five lengths, after being unwanted in betting. His run prior was more encouraging when fifth over 1200m, beaten two lengths. Wide draw and 1400m query temper the winning case, but place claims remain.

Makes his debut without race form to assess, so the market will be important. He was an $80,000 Magic Millions yearling and comes from a family with multiple winners, including Heroic Master as a city winner at Happy Valley. Watch market rather than dive in.

Resumes after a four-month break, having ended last campaign with an eighth at this track over 1800m when beaten eight and a half lengths as a market fancy. The run prior was sound at Happy Valley, finishing fourth and beaten just under three lengths. Winning edge is the query fresh.

Resumes after a four-month break following two plain Sha Tin AW efforts, finishing eighth and then 11th at long odds without making an impact late. Has to lift markedly.

Produced his best run when fourth at this track first-up, beaten just over two lengths despite being unwanted in the market and doing early work before being swamped late. His previous 1200m run also had some merit before he flattened out. Still a maiden, but lightly raced and capable of another step forward.

Resumes after a three-month break, last seen finishing seventh at Happy Valley over 1200m, beaten three lengths, when near the top of an open market. His prior Sha Tin AW run was a complete forgive only in margin terms after being well beaten, but his broader season record is strong and he is one from four at this track and distance. Best figures make him a real danger.

Was second last at this track when resuming, beaten seven lengths at long odds after never looking likely. His previous Happy Valley run was also poor, beaten over 13 lengths in a small field, and he has been unplaced in all 14 starts across the past 12 months. Past 1400m form is not enough on current output.

Was well in the market first-up at this track but folded late after working forward, finishing 12th and beaten six lengths. His previous run was much better, winning a Class 5 at this venue by two and a half lengths from Speedy Trident. Track-and-distance record keeps him in exotics.

Was second last at this track last start, beaten over 12 lengths after travelling midfield and only holding his ground early in the straight. Two back he was much better when fifth to Grand Patch, beaten just under a length at big odds. Looking to others.

Returns from a lengthy six-month spell after ending last preparation with a seventh at Happy Valley, beaten four lengths and unwanted in the market. Before that he was eighth at this track behind Shotgun, beaten eight lengths at big odds. Track-and-distance record is poor, so a sizeable rebound is required.

Worked home evenly when seventh over 1200m at this track first-up, beaten three and a half lengths at big odds. He had also finished seventh at this venue the run before a break, beaten just over three lengths when nearest late. Minor claims only if he finishes off better.
