Races PRX Sha Tin - HK

Second-up after finishing eighth in a Class 4 over 1000m at Happy Valley, beaten just over six lengths after settling rearward and fading late. The previous run at this track was also in Class 4, where he worked home evenly but was still beaten four and a half lengths. The 1400m record is unconvincing, but this is his chance to lift.

Worked home evenly when eighth behind Rattan Galaxy at this track, beaten a length and a half at generous odds. That was a fair return without being a winning pointer, and his Class 4 seventh two back came when big odds before finishing strongly. Others make more appeal.

Ran better than the finishing position first-up, settling midfield and running on evenly for sixth behind Rattan Galaxy at this track, beaten just over a length. That was a clear improvement on the Class 4 ninth two back, when beaten seven and a half lengths at long odds. Still chasing a first placing, so place claims look fairest.

Resumed with a determined win at this track, beating The All Rounder by a neck as favourite and confirming his liking for this track and distance. He had been beaten a nose by Double Bingo the run prior, so the recent form is consistent rather than a one-off. Recent form reads well and he can win again.

Finished sixth first-up at this track, beaten two and a half lengths after settling midfield and grinding home one-paced when near the top of an open market. His previous fourth behind Noble Fans had more merit, with a short-room moment early in the straight before finishing within just over two lengths. Winless profile tempers enthusiasm, but he can run into a place.

Produced a strong first-up fourth behind Rattan Galaxy at this track, beaten half a length after lacking clear running early in the straight and closing off well. The start prior he was never a threat from wide out but still made some late ground. Maiden record keeps him to place territory.

Finished 11th behind Draco at this track first-up, beaten six and a half lengths, and there was no obvious excuse in the run. His previous effort was much better, closing late for third behind Double Bingo and missing by a nose, but he has not won in the past 12 months and has placed rather than converted at this track and distance. Hard to support unless he rebounds to that earlier form.

Made a strong return when second to Rattan Galaxy at this track, beaten a neck after being short of clear running early in the straight and finishing off very strongly. He had earlier run fourth over 1200m at this venue after switching wide for clear running, so the form has been building. Still a maiden, but brings a serious winning profile.

Sat on pace and ran evenly when fourth behind Draco at this track, beaten just under two lengths as an outside chance in betting. That was a better return than his ninth behind Winning Machine, where he was beaten just over four lengths. Winless from 22 starts keeps the ceiling modest.

Finished tenth first-up over 1000m at Happy Valley, beaten four and a half lengths after fading late when unwanted in the market. His previous run was another tenth, this time over 1650m at Happy Valley, where he was left behind in the straight. Not here.

Returns from a lengthy spell after ending last campaign with a ninth at this track, beaten just under six lengths when one-paced in the run home. The run prior at Happy Valley was more encouraging, finishing sixth and beaten a length and a half after closing strongly. Others have stronger race fitness.

Won first-up at Happy Valley over 1200m, beating Von Baer by a neck after settling midfield and working home evenly when well found in an open market. He had been only two lengths away at this track the run before, so the form is honest enough. Harder race now, so a repeat is required.

Returned with an excellent third behind Rattan Galaxy at this track, beaten a neck after showing a response early in the straight and starting near the top of an open market. That was a clear rebound from his 1600m 11th behind Frantanck, where he made no impression late. Still a maiden after 18 starts, though he rates highly on his last start and can shed the maiden tag.

Made only minor ground when ninth behind Rattan Galaxy at this track, beaten just over three lengths after being unwanted in the market. Two back he produced just a short-lived effort at the top of the straight when seventh behind Noble Fans. A sharper effort is required.
