Races PRX Sha Tin - HK

Returns from a five-month break after finishing last preparation with a fourth at this track over 1400m, beaten just over a length by Aeroinvincible after being bumped and settling midfield. He had earlier run second to Mighty Commander, beaten half a length in an open market. Proven at this track and trip, so he profiles as a genuine place hope.

Resumed with a sound second at this track over 1000m, working home evenly when beaten just over a length by Alpha Strike as odds-on favourite. That followed a dominant win at this venue, where he beat Superb Spirit by just over five lengths. Purton takes over and the 1200m record is strong enough to win.

Put the race away decisively last start at this track, quickening early in the straight to beat Chill Buddy by just under two lengths as a well-supported favourite. He had been close-up fourth to Jumbo Treasure the run prior and now reaches the third run of the campaign. Wide draw is the query, but his track-and-trip record keeps him right in the race.

Was below his best when ninth to Jumbo Treasure at this track last start, beaten five and a half lengths after beginning well and fading late. The previous run was also only fair when seventh to Pi Legend, though he was near the top of betting. A rebound puts him in the minor-money mix.

Closed off well first-up at Happy Valley over 1000m, finishing fifth to Dancing Classics and beaten just over a length after settling well back. That followed a late-closing third at the same venue before the break, also over 1000m. The 1200m record is mixed, but he has place claims.

Returns from a ten-month break for his first local assignment after finishing last in a 3yo Benchmark 70 at Moonee Valley, beaten just under four lengths when settling rearward and only fair late. His Caulfield run before that was safely held despite making some ground from back in the field. Australian form had some merit, but the latest efforts leave plenty to prove.

Returns from a four-month break after two plain runs, most recently seventh to Solid State at this track when beaten nine and a half lengths and unwanted in the market. The start prior was even poorer on the Sha Tin Aw, so recent form is a concern. Earlier 1200m form gives him minor claims only.

Returns from a three-month break after finishing tenth at Happy Valley, beaten just over four lengths at big odds. His previous fourth at this track behind Mr Incredible was better, though again he was unwanted in betting. Has won at this venue, but the 1200m record and recent market signals are against him.

Returns from a three-month break after finishing sixth to Perfectday at this track, beaten four and a half lengths when near the top of betting. He had won here the start before, beating Winning Gold by just over a length over 1400m. Has won twice at this track, but the 1200m profile leaves him with work to do.

Returns from a four-month break after ending last campaign in winning form, scoring by a neck from Ace Eagle in Class 4 at this track. He had earlier chased home Come Fast Fay Fay over 1400m, beaten two lengths after staying on well. If ready fresh, he has the profile to take another step.

Returns from a four-month break after a plain Hong Kong debut at Happy Valley, finishing tenth to Tycoon Resources and beaten just under five lengths at long odds. His only other start was a strong Scone Maiden win over Zousanity, so there is ability somewhere in the profile. The Scone Maiden win showed ability, but this demands a clear lift.

Comes back on the one-week turnaround after finishing 11th at this track over 1400m, beaten ten lengths by Aeroinvincible at long odds. His prior run was worse behind Solid State, beaten over 18 lengths after fading badly. Old 1200m wins help little against an unplaced track-and-trip record.

Returns from a four-month break after a ninth at this track behind Mr Incredible, beaten just under five lengths at big odds. His Happy Valley run before that was similar, lacking the pace to challenge when seventh to Target Audience. His 1200m record is place-heavy rather than winning, which is the right way to view him.

Was a major disappointment first-up at this track, finishing second last behind Jumbo Treasure and beaten over 12 lengths as a well-supported favourite. That was a long way below his previous Class 4 win, when he beat Next Fortune by a length and a half after travelling smoothly. Capable on best form, but that latest run is hard to overlook.
