Races PRX Sha Tin - HK

Comes back quickly after finishing tenth over 1400m at Sha Tin, beaten just under five lengths without a clear excuse. His first-up fifth behind Draco had more merit, showing some dash late and beaten only two lengths. Strong chance if he finds his late dash.

Back after four weeks following a ninth at Sha Tin where he faded late and was beaten six and a half lengths. The more encouraging reference is his third two runs back over 1800m, beaten just under two lengths after being steadied early.

Finished eighth behind Vigor Elleegant over 1400m at Sha Tin last week, beaten four and a half lengths after starting an outside chance. His ninth at Happy Valley before that was only fair, though he did make minor progress in the straight.

Has returned with two solid fifths, most recently beaten just over three lengths at Happy Valley after working home evenly. Two back he was only beaten three lengths at Sha Tin despite racing wide throughout. Proven at 1650m and reunited with a winning rider, he has strong claims.

Has been well held in two recent 1200m runs, finishing ninth at this track last week when beaten just over six lengths at long odds. His 12th prior to that was no better after settling midfield and failing to close off. Race fitness keeps him in minor calculations.

Last of 14 at Sha Tin last week, beaten eight lengths and unwanted in the market, so the immediate form makes him hard to push strongly. His previous fifth at Happy Valley was better, closing off okay over 1200m. Place chance only.

Returns from a lengthy spell after ending last campaign with an eighth at Happy Valley, beaten six and a half lengths at long odds. The run before that at this venue was a seventh after passing tired runners, and the overall form pattern is plain. Has to lift sharply.

Returns from a lengthy spell after ending last campaign last at this venue, beaten over 13 lengths after settling rearward. His seventh at this venue before that came in Class 4 company, but he was still beaten over 10 lengths and made no late impression. Maiden record and first 1650m attempt make this a tough ask.

Second-up after finishing seventh over 1400m at Sha Tin last week, beaten four and a half lengths and unwanted in the market. His previous eighth came after fading late over 1200m when much shorter in betting. Happy to look elsewhere.

Resumed with a tenth at Happy Valley, beaten just over seven lengths after beginning well before fading late. That mirrored his ninth at Sha Tin over 1800m when unwanted in the market and beaten the same margin. Others bring stronger current form.

Back after four weeks following a tenth at Sha Tin where he made no late impression and was beaten just over seven lengths at big odds. His fifth two back had more substance after early crowding, but he still lacked the pace to challenge. The prior fifth was fair enough, but a 13-start maiden record points to place claims at best.

Went within a neck of breaking through at Happy Valley last start, finishing second as favourite after closing off strongly. That followed a third when near the top of an open market, so the current form is clearly the most reliable in this field. Purton stays on, the trip suits, and his consistency makes him the one to beat.

Second-up after a 12th at Sha Tin when he faded late and was beaten eight and a half lengths at generous odds. His previous run at this venue was much better, finishing third as favourite and beaten just over a length. Need to see signs of life before he comes into calculations.

Returns from a lengthy spell after a sequence of fifths that were more honest than the form line first suggests. Last seen beaten two lengths at Sha Tin, and the run before at this venue over 1800m was sound enough when he worked home evenly. Maiden tag is a query, but he has strong claims.
