Races PRX Sha Tin - HK

Bounced back strongly third-up when winning at this track last start, beating Mr Incredible by half a length after having to wait for a run turning in. The start prior was only fair when eighth behind Bunta Baby, but he did jump awkwardly and cop a bump. Top weight is the query, but his 1200m record gives him a strong case.

Returns from a five-week freshening after making all at this track first-up, scoring by half a length over Majestic Valour when near the top of an open market. He had also won a Class 4 here in June, beating Oldtown by a length and a half as odds-on favourite. Three wins from four starts makes him a genuine place hope again.

Has been solid without winning in two runs this campaign, finishing third to Grand Eagle last start when beaten just over two lengths after travelling smoothly. The run prior had merit when fourth to Absolute Heart, only a length and a half away, with some interference near the 300m. Proven at 1200m and third-up now, he sits among the key chances.

Returns from a five-week freshening after a strong first-up second at this track, beaten half a length by Absolute Heart after tracking the leaders and running on well. He was plain over 1400m before that, but back at 1200m he brings two wins and one place from seven attempts at this track and distance. Back at a proven track and trip with Zac Purton aboard, he looks the one to beat.

Was sound without threatening when sixth behind Leading Agility at Happy Valley last start, beaten just under four lengths after settling midfield. His fourth there the run prior was better, coming from generous odds and finishing just over two lengths away after being pushed widest into the straight. Proven at this track and distance, but he looks more a place hope.

Returns from a five-week freshening after a seventh at this track, beaten just under three lengths behind Bunta Baby after being checked near the 350m. That gives the run some context, but his previous tenth at Happy Valley was plain and he has been unplaced in all three starts at this track and distance.

Resumes after eight months off following a debut win in a Mdn at Geelong, where he beat Holding Captive by a nose over 1200m after sitting behind the leaders and lifting late. That was only a narrow country/provincial-style win, but he was well found in betting and remains unbeaten. Lightly raced and unbeaten, he brings upside into his local debut.

Resumes after eight months off having won a Mdn at Caulfield Heath by a length, after beginning awkwardly but still taking control. His debut second at Cranbourne was also solid, beaten just over two lengths as favourite after being slow away. Honest profile, but this asks more first-up.

Returns from a five-week freshening after finishing ninth over 1000m at this track, beaten three and a half lengths by Horsepower after being bumped and fading late. His prior third behind Alpha Strike was better, beaten a length and a half at big odds. Last run was plain, but the prior third keeps him in the place mix.

Was well held first-up at this track over 1000m, finishing 12th behind Ka Ying Lightning and beaten eight lengths after being slow away, though he did make some late ground. His only other run was a heavy-track Mdn win at Taree by just over three lengths as a well-supported favourite. A Taree Mdn win reads well enough, but he must lift sharply.

Returns from a five-week freshening after finishing 11th behind Bunta Baby at this track, beaten just over seven lengths at long odds after settling rearward and failing to pick up. His previous ninth behind Mr Incredible was also safely held. Past track-and-trip form and Atzeni help, yet he looks a minor hope at best.

Resumes after four months away following two heavy defeats at this track, the latest when last behind Pi Legend and beaten a long way after being bumped and dropping out. He had been beaten over 11 lengths at the start prior when unwanted in the market. A major turnaround is required.
