Races PRX Happy Valley - HK

Finished sixth at this track last start, beaten just under three lengths by Bright Day after being pushed along widest into the straight and making only late, non-threatening ground. That followed a 12th in Class 3 at Sha Tin when beaten over 11 lengths and unwanted in the market. Recent form has been plain and a sharper performance is required.

Resumed with a strong second at this track, settling midfield and closing off well to be beaten a length by Young Arrow. He had won his previous start at this venue, scoring by a neck from Lean Master as favourite, and the record of two wins and two placings from seven at this track and distance is a genuine positive. Brings one of the strongest winning profiles.

Was unwanted in the market when ninth at this track last start, beaten just over five lengths by Bits Superstar after coming under pressure late. The run prior was a heavy defeat in Class 3 at Sha Tin, where he started at long odds and finished well held. Hard to be with.

Returned with a sound third at this track, beaten a length and a half by Young Arrow after leading and working home evenly. His previous fourth behind Starry Show was another honest effort, beaten two lengths after being headed late. Strong chance if he holds that level.

Was better than the bare result at Sha Tin last start, finishing sixth and beaten just over three lengths after covering ground and only peaking early in the straight. His previous run at this venue was poor, finishing last and beaten over 16 lengths, so he still has a gap to bridge. Place claims, though the prior run was poor.

Returns from a three-month break after ending last campaign with an 11th at Sha Tin, beaten six and a half lengths by Green Angel when near the top of an open market. His run prior was much better, finishing second to Anode and beaten half a length at Sha Tin. Best form puts him in the minor-money frame.

Returns from a four-month break with reliable Happy Valley 1200m form behind him. He ended last campaign fifth at this track, beaten two and a half lengths by Live Wire, after a close third behind Lucky Mcqueen when doing his best work late. Strong chance on his established profile.

Returns from a three-month break after finishing seventh at this track, beaten just over four lengths by Starry Show when an outside chance in betting. His previous run was a long last at Sha Tin, beaten over 14 lengths, and he remains unplaced from three career starts and three attempts at this distance. Hard to recommend against more seasoned rivals.

Worked wide when seventh at this track last start, beaten just under five lengths by Live Wire after tracking the pace and finding no extra late. Two back he was ninth at Sha Tin, beaten eight lengths on yielding ground and at long odds. Place hope only if he lifts.

Ran fourth as favourite at this track first-up, beaten just under two lengths by Bright Day, and that followed a string of seconds last campaign including a close placing behind Starry Show. He has one win and six placings from 16 at this track and distance, with barrier 1 and 54kg helping his case. Looks the one to beat off the solid first-up effort.

Returns from a three-month break after an eighth at this track, beaten just under four lengths by Winning Champion at big odds after settling rearward and finishing strongly. His previous Sha Tin run was another midfield-to-back effort, finishing last and beaten just over six lengths. Latest run had some late merit, but five starts without a placing is hard to overlook.

Finished seventh at this track last start, beaten three lengths by Bright Day after starting unwanted in the market. Before that he was tenth at Sha Tin, beaten eight and a half lengths after settling back and failing to finish off. Capable of a minor share if he improves.
