Races PRX Sha Tin - HK

Returns from a six-week freshening after finishing tenth at this track, beaten just under four lengths by Alpha Strike when settling handy at long odds. His previous third, beaten just under a length by Straight To Glory, reads better and he is a proven track-and-trip performer.

Returns from a lengthy spell after closing last campaign with wins at Canterbury and Wyong, the latest a BM72 success over 1200m when sent out an odds-on favourite. Three wins and two placings from five starts is a sound profile, and he has already won at around this distance. New Hong Kong task, but a place profile.

Returns from a six-month break with a consistent Australian profile, having been beaten a nose by Bella Khadijah in a Randwick BM72 after covering ground and letting down strongly. He was also second at Randwick-Kensington at big odds, so the form has depth. The 1000m is new, but his form is strong enough to win if sharp enough.

Closed off well for second at this track last start, beaten a length by Horsepower after being held up near the 200m, so there was merit in the run. His first-up seventh at Happy Valley was also not far away at generous odds. Race fit now and looks a genuine minor-place player.

Returns from a lengthy spell after making a winning debut at Canterbury, leading throughout in a Mdn over 1250m and beating Rach by two and a half lengths. That was his only public race evidence, but it was decisive and he was well found in an open market. Untested at 1000m, but the upside is obvious.

Kept his unbeaten record intact when winning a Class 4 at this track last start, beating Jedi Spurs by two lengths while near the top of betting. He had already scored on debut at this venue, so two wins from two starts at both the track and distance is a powerful platform. Rises in grade, but brings the best winning profile.

Returns from a two-month freshening after winning over this track and distance as favourite, beating Ruby Thrive by a length and a half in Class 4. His previous fourth behind Love Together was also sound, beaten just over a length. Purton stays aboard and he rates a strong danger.

Returns from a lengthy spell after winning a Mdn at Beaumont (newcastle), sitting behind the leaders and beating Willingham by just over half a length. His start prior at Kembla Grange was plain when seventh, beaten just over six lengths. Last-start Mdn win helps, but this is a much tougher assignment.

Returns from a lengthy spell after winning on debut at Te Rapa, settling midfield and working home over the top to beat Rosalina by just over a length. That showed a good competitive edge, and the market had him near the top of betting. Has ability, but the new jurisdiction and 1000m test keep him to place claims.

Returns from a six-month break after a strong debut win at Taree, beating Duskaura by just over three lengths in a heavy-track Mdn as favourite. That single run gives him a clean winning record, but he has not raced around 1000m and now tackles a much different task in Hong Kong. Untried at 1000m and has to lift sharply for this.

Improved first-up when fifth at this track, beaten just over two lengths by Horsepower at big odds, which was a clear step back towards competitiveness after fading to 11th behind Chicken Dinner the run prior. Blinkers go on for the first time and the apprentice claim assists. First-time blinkers and the claim give him a place chance.

Has been well held in both runs this campaign, finishing second last behind Bunta Baby last start after being pushed along wide into the straight. He was also beaten ten lengths by Aeroinvincible the run prior and has been unwanted in betting. Others make far more appeal.

Was beaten over 19 lengths on Sha Tin Aw last start and had also finished second last at Happy Valley, so his current form is difficult to recommend. He does have five wins at this track and is fitter third-up, but he is unplaced from two tries at around 1000m.

Returned with a sound third at this track, beaten a length by Horsepower after beginning well, and that followed a Class 4 win at this venue when beating Beauty Thunder by a head. His record around 1000m is solid, with two wins and five placings from nine attempts. Reliable 1000m record keeps him right in the place mix.
