Races PRX Sha Tin - HK

Finished eighth first-up in a Class 4 at this track, beaten just over four lengths after settling rearward and being unwanted in the market. His previous run was also in Class 4 company at Happy Valley, where he was seventh and one-paced late.

Worked home with some purpose once clear when fifth in a Class 4 at this track, beaten five and a half lengths on good ground. He had earlier made late ground without threatening after beginning awkwardly over 1200m. Still winless, but has a genuine place profile.

Has finished 12th at both runs this campaign, most recently in a Class 4 at this track when beaten just over five lengths after settling back and never looking likely. He was last at Happy Valley two back at big odds. Has won at this venue, but recent figures demand a sizeable lift.

Returns from a six-week freshening after a sound seventh at this track, beaten only a length and a half when making some ground early in the straight. His prior eighth came in Class 4 company, beaten four lengths at big odds. Winning rider returns, but the track-distance record is hard to ignore.

Broke through strongly at this track last start, beating Aquaman by two lengths after settling midfield, and that win also gave him the recent edge over Draco. He was only fair first-up at Happy Valley, but the move back to this venue clearly suited. Wide draw is a query, but the winning case is strong.

Returns from a four-month break after ending last preparation with a sixth in a Class 4 at this track, beaten three lengths when held up in the straight. His previous run was much better, finishing fifth and beaten only a neck after covering ground. Place hope, but still winless.

Improved sharply first-up when fourth at this track behind Vigor Elleegant, beaten three lengths at long odds after beginning awkwardly. That was a better effort than his previous last at Happy Valley, where he was beaten over 12 lengths in Class 4 company. Minor claims only.

Recent form is the issue, with a 12th over 1600m last start following a last-placed run at this track where he faded after settling midfield. The return to a distance where he has three wins and four placings at this venue is a genuine positive, and he is fitter third-up. Has to turn his form around.

Raced wide when ninth over 1600m at this track last start, beaten four lengths, so there was some merit hidden in the margin. His previous fifth at this venue was stronger, beaten just over a length while working home evenly. Maiden profile remains the knock for win purposes.

Won well at this track and distance two starts ago, beating Fortune Kingo by a length as favourite, then closed off nicely when fifth behind Vigor Elleegant, beaten three lengths as a well-supported favourite. That recent defeat is not terminal, with his track-distance record and third-up profile still reading strongly. Strong profile and the one to beat.

Has been safely held in two runs this campaign, finishing tenth last start after fading over 1200m and previously eighth when making no late impression. He is third-up with an apprentice claim and has won at this track, so there is a small case for improvement. Place at best.

Returned with a solid fourth on the All-Weather over 1200m, beaten just under three lengths after making some progress and starting near the top of betting. He was also fourth at this track before the break, so his recent form is sound. Proven at this track and distance, so he rates highly.

Lifted second-up when second at this track, beaten just over a length after chasing the leaders into the straight. That was a clear step forward from his ninth first-up, where he made only minor ground and was unwanted in the market. Still chasing a track-distance win, but right in this.

Improved last start when fifth over 1600m at this track, beaten three lengths at big odds after fading late. His first-up 12th offered less, but he now returns to 1400m where his track-distance record reads two wins and one placing from twelve starts. Place claims are stronger than the win case.
