Races SRX Canberra

Returns from a three-month break after a Nowra third, beaten just under three lengths by Our Cielo after travelling behind the speed and racing wide throughout. The run prior at Illawarra Grange was sound enough when sixth, beaten just under two lengths, though he did not finish it off after pressing forward. Can feature.

Returns from a lengthy six-month spell with a Warwick Farm trial win to suggest he has been readied for the comeback. He was beaten eight and a half lengths by Above The Law at Illawarra Grange before the break after racing wide and being bumped, while his previous second at this venue reads better. Wide draw and mixed form make him a minor chance.

Debuts from barrier one with Nick Heywood booked, but there are no recent trials to guide the market. The family offers some encouragement through Blue Grotto, a five-time winner, and Golden Fairy, while both have been with the same trainer line. Can feature on resumption.

Returns from a lengthy eight-month spell after two unplaced runs in the autumn. He was tenth at Gundagai before the break, beaten just over eight lengths and unwanted in the market, after making no impression from the rear. His debut at this venue was also plain after a slow start. Apprentice claim helps slightly, but sharp improvement is required.

Second-up after a strong return at this track, finishing second to Absolutist and beaten a long neck despite interference around the home turn. He settled back and finished strongly, with that run placing him ahead of O'Hatasky and Graceful Thinking from the same race. Out in trip is no issue and he looks set to fire on the back of a strong return effort.

Returns from a five-week freshening after an encouraging debut third at this track, beaten two and a half lengths by Mr Xplode at long odds. He began awkwardly, settled back and still made solid inroads into the placings, which gives the run substance. That effort stacks up and she can raise the bar stepping out in distance.

Returns from a three-month break after nearly causing a surprise at Canberra Acton, running second to Skibidi and beaten just under a length at big odds. She picked up well from back in the field that day, a clear lift on her debut when beaten over 11 lengths. That latest run gives her place claims.

Arrives race fit and holding form, having run third at Muswellbrook behind Rolling Home after keeping on from back in the field. That followed a half-length second at this track in an open market, so her latest two efforts are competitive for a Mdn. Claim helps, but she looks more place than win.

Had excuses at Queanbeyan last start when slow away and tightened for room before running fifth, beaten just under three lengths by Forjori. Even so, she was unwanted in the market and her Moruya run prior was plain when seventh, beaten seven lengths. Not here.

Well-supported favourite on debut at this track and finished fourth to Absolutist, beaten two and a half lengths after settling back and having work to do. She finished behind Setta Icon and O'Hatasky there, so the rematch demands improvement, but race experience can bring her on quickly. Better for the debut run and she can build on that performance.

Resumed with a sound third at this track, beaten a length and a half by Absolutist after tracking the speed and working home evenly. That effort had her ahead of Graceful Thinking but still behind Setta Icon, so the form line is clear. Her debut at Wagga came in Open grade and included a slow start, making the return more encouraging. McDougall rides now and she can raise the bar again.

Makes her debut for Bjorn Baker with four trials behind her, including a Warwick Farm trial two weeks ago. The stable's debut record is solid and half-sibling Bringyaticket won seven races, so there is some background to respect. Wouldn't surprise to see her feature on debut.
