Races SRX Canberra

Back from a three-month break after a forgivable second-last at Canberra Acton, where he raced wide, lost gear and was checked passing the 200m before finishing beaten just under eight lengths. Before that he led and beat Prophet Time by just under a length at Canberra Acton as favourite. His prior win and track-and-trip record give him a strong winning case.

Had genuine excuses when last in a BM58 at Queanbeyan, racing wide throughout before finishing beaten just under seven lengths. His previous Moruya fifth in BM58 grade came at long odds, though he was still close enough to have beaten Showtime Maggie there. Has a track win, but recent form still points more to a place hope.

Failed to fire in a BM58 at Moruya last start, settling well back and making no impression when tenth, beaten just over eight lengths as a market chance. The run prior is the key guide: she charged home to beat Inna Zou by half a length at this track. Winning rider returns and the BM58 drop gives her a real chance.

Has been struggling for form this campaign, finishing last in a BM58 at Goulburn after racing wide and offering little, beaten nine and a half lengths at long odds. He was also last in a BM60 at this track two starts ago, beaten just under eight lengths. The class drop helps only if he lifts sharply.

Resumed with a fair fifth in a Class 1 at Cootamundra, beaten just under three lengths after being bumped early and racing wide. His previous run was a solid second at Queanbeyan when well-supported favourite, charging home to miss by a length and a half. The claim keeps him in the place mix.

Arrives off the right run, sweeping home from well back to beat Iconic Rose by just over a length at Wagga Riverside. That followed a BM58 fifth at Nowra where she was unwanted in betting, began slowly and still picked up nicely. Prior BM58 run had merit and she brings the strongest recent form.

Led but did not quicken when eighth in a BM58 at Goulburn, beaten five and a half lengths as an outside chance in betting. Her first-up sixth in Class 1 company was similar, holding a spot before failing to finish off. Recent finishing efforts leave her as a place-leaning chance.

Placed first-up in a small-field BM58 at Grenfell, finishing third and beaten just over two lengths after being bumped at the start. That was a better result than her Narrandera run before the break, when she was slow away and well beaten at big odds in Class 1 grade. Good on resumption but this is tougher.

Comes back quickly after finishing fifth as a well-supported favourite at Bombala, beaten a length and a half in a small field. The run prior at this track was plain on paper, though he raced wide without cover and was beaten by Showtime Maggie. Still has to answer a beaten-favourite run.

Made some improvement when fifth in a BM58 at Queanbeyan, beaten two and a half lengths at big odds, but he had the drop on the leaders and could not go on with it. Two days earlier he was last at this track, beaten over 11 lengths. Looking to others.

Began slowly and finished last in a BM58 at Goulburn, beaten just over eight lengths after being close enough on the turn but failing to quicken. His previous fifth at this track was more competitive, beaten just under two lengths despite being unwanted in betting. Last-start BM58 effort was still well below the mark.
