Races CRP Mackay

Backs up quickly after finishing fourth at Rockhampton, beaten just over four lengths on soft ground after hanging out near the 300m. He had won there the start prior, digging in to beat Next Stop Jupiter by a neck, and today's company is easier than that latest provincial assignment.

Has returned with two sound thirds, most recently leading at Rockhampton before finishing just under two lengths from Sujeed. The run prior was another honest third in a Class 2 at this track, and his record here and around 1200m is a genuine positive. The soft ground is the query, but he profiles as a solid place hope.

Returns from a three-month break after ending last campaign with a sixth at Muttaburra, beaten over 13 lengths in a BM60 after racing wide early. He had been much better when second at Longreach before that, but his record around 1200m is modest, with one win from 10 starts and no placings from five distance runs in the supplied stats. Distance record is a concern.

Resumes after two months away from racing following two heavy defeats, the latest at Rockhampton where he was never competitive and was beaten out of sight. A close second in a recent Rockhampton trial offers some encouragement, but his race form has been poor and he has managed only one win from eleven starts. Others preferred.

Comes off a Class 1 win at Cloncurry, beating Zoustrong by a neck despite being checked near the 1000m. She had also made ground at Ewan after interference on the home turn, so there is more merit in the recent form than the margins alone suggest. First try at this venue, but 1200m form gives her some claims.

Was safely held when fifth in a Class 3 at Bowen, beaten just over seven lengths, and now comes from picnic company into a harder meeting. Her previous Prairie win over Makanui keeps her in the conversation, and the distance profile is strong with two wins and a placing from four starts in the supplied stats. In the mix on best.

Arrives off consecutive wins, the latest a nose success in a Class B at Twin Hills after scoring by just under three lengths in a Mdn at this track. That local win was decisive and first-time blinkers are a positive gear change, but the rise from those lower-grade wins into this BM55 asks for another step. In the mix.

Brings a solid profile after finishing third as favourite in a BM50 at Emerald, beaten just under two lengths on soft ground. That followed a narrow BM60 win at Twin Hills, so the recent form is holding together, and the apprentice claim gives him useful weight relief from his latest run. Claim helps and he is right in the race.

Won as an odds-on favourite in Class B grade at Eidsvold last start, beating I Am Pietra by just over a length and doing what the market expected. She had earlier run Entitle to a long neck in a BM50 at Emerald after jumping awkwardly, so the form is both current and reliable. Brings the clearest winning case.

Went close in a BM50 at Bowen last start, finishing second to Tarong by just over half a length as favourite. She was only just over two lengths away at Townsville on soft ground before that at big odds, and her record at this track gives her a solid platform. Wide draw is a hurdle, but weight relief keeps her a strong hope.

Was beaten three and a half lengths when sixth behind Bonnie Bouquet in a Class 1 at Cloncurry last start, with no clear excuse supplied. Her Ewan second prior was sound enough at generous odds, and she has placed twice from four starts at this track, but the win record remains thin. Each-way.

Returns on a five-day back-up after being beaten over 12 lengths at Townsville, where he was at big odds and no excuse was reported. The move back to 1200m is more suitable, and his Bowen fourth in a BM50 two runs ago was only just over two lengths from Tarong, with Holy Crown ahead of him there. Can feature.
