Races CR Northam

Second-up now after finishing sixth at Belmont Park over 1400m, where he was big odds, settled well back and made some impression without ever looking likely. His previous fifth in a 2yo+ Benchmark 72+ at Esperance was sound enough, and he has three wins at around 1600m. Minor hope if he sharpens sharply.

Produced a better run when third at Belmont Park over 1400m, beaten two and a half lengths after coming from a long way back at generous odds. That was a clear step forward from his second-last finish on soft ground the start prior. Better run last start and that figure stacks right up.

Eases back from Saturday company after finishing tenth in a 4yo+ NMW1Y at Belmont Park, beaten just over eight lengths at long odds after tracking the lead and offering little late. A clear form turnaround is required.

Broke through at this venue last start, winning a 3yo+ Maiden by a nose as favourite after launching from well back. That followed a solid fourth here when unwanted in betting, so his form is heading the right way. Ran over the top to score last start and he looks set to go on with the job.

Went close in a 3yo+ NMW1Y at Belmont Park, finishing third to Grandad's Adiction and beaten just under a length after jumping awkwardly and covering ground. He was also held up when closing off over 1400m the run prior, so there is substance to the improvement. Improving with every run this time in and a forward showing is on the cards.

Finished fourth in a 3yo+ Class 1 at this track last start, beaten just under four lengths after settling back, and now gets 2kg relief from that run. The better pointer may be his Belmont Park second beforehand, when he finished strongly at long odds. Watch for him flying late in the race.

Drops from Saturday company after finishing last in a 3yo+ 1 Metro Win at Belmont Park, beaten over 15 lengths at long odds after racing keenly and making no impact. Easier assignment helps, though she must rebound hard.

Returns from a three-month break after ending last campaign with a distant last in a 3yo+ Benchmark 54+ at this track, where she weakened badly on soft ground. Her previous fourth in a 2yo+ Class 2 at Kalgoorlie was much better, beaten just under a length. Has won around 1600m and gets a claim, but recent form leaves plenty to prove.

Was forced wide at the start and finished second last at Bunbury, beaten nine lengths after being unwanted in the market. His prior fifth came in a 3yo+ Class 5 at Pinjarra, where he boxed on fairly without threatening. Place only if he finds more than recent starts show.

Ran second in a 3yo+ NMW1Y at Belmont Park, beaten just over half a length by Grandad's Adiction after being slow to begin. That followed a seventh at this venue on soft ground where he again missed the start, raced wide and was not beaten far. Just missed last time out but gets plenty in his favour to go one better this time.
