Races CR Northam

Has built a solid platform with consecutive thirds at this venue, most recently over 1600m when beaten three lengths by Rory's Revenge after beginning slowly and being hampered late. The run prior was sharper, beaten a long neck by Sponge Cake after covering ground as favourite. Had excuses late last start and can play a major role with a better barrier this time around.

Returns from a two-month freshening after disappointing as favourite over 2200m at this track, where he led narrowly but offered little late and was beaten nine and a half lengths. That followed a much better second in a 2yo+ Maiden at Pinjarra Scarpside on soft ground at big odds. Steps right back in trip now with Pike on off a freshen, and he can bounce back to form.

Was safely held on debut at Bunbury, finishing second last and beaten just over seven lengths behind God Be Quick after racing wide near the 800m and being hampered late. He had trialled third at Lark Hill beforehand and may improve second-up, with blinkers applied, but the 1600m is untried and Poppy's Roses had his measure there. Blinkers may help; must improve sharply.

Returns from a ten-month break after a plain debut at this track, where he began awkwardly, settled well back and finished last, well beaten by 25 lengths behind Ginger And Tonic at long odds. He has had two trials since last racing and gets a claim with Jefferson Tsang, while blinkers are applied. Others read better.

Placed first-up at Bunbury when third to God Be Quick, beaten just under a length after settling back and working home evenly as a well-supported favourite. Her previous campaign included the G2 WATC Derby in 3yo Open company, which gives her a stronger form base than most of these. Strong return effort and she can land the knockout blow stepping up to the mile.

Raced wide throughout at this track last start and weakened to finish 11th, beaten over 15 lengths behind Rory's Revenge at long odds.

Has been unable to make an impact recently, finishing seventh at this track last start when beaten just under ten lengths behind Rory's Revenge after sitting behind the leaders and making no impression. Two back she led at Junction before tiring and being overrun. The claim helps a little, but her form is well short.

Worked home with some purpose at this track last start, finishing seventh but beaten just under three lengths by Grey Ol' Day after beginning slowly, covering ground and coming from well back. She had kept on without threatening at Belmont Park the run prior. Can improve getting out in trip.

Was plain second-up at this track, finishing 12th and beaten six and a half lengths behind Grey Ol' Day after settling rearward and making no impression, with a bump near the 200m not enough to fully excuse it. His debut was more encouraging when he picked up nicely behind Sponge Cake. A few form factors point to an improved performance this time around.
