Races BR Eagle Farm

Has strung together two wins, most recently taking a 3yo+ Class 2 at Beaudesert by five and a half lengths as a well-supported favourite after travelling strongly near the lead. The Warwick win prior in a CG Benchmark 58 was narrower but showed he could find under pressure. Proven at 1400m, but 60kg and the stronger assignment demand another lift.

Produced a tough Benchmark 65 win at Gold Coast last start, pressing forward and overcoming a wide run to score by half a length at generous odds. His second at this track two back behind Russian Ripper was also sound on soft ground, beaten just over a length. Harder race now, so improvement is required.

Returns from a four-week freshening after winning a 3yo+ CG Benchmark 72 at Randwick-Kensington, where he was sent out favourite and cleared out to score by a length and a half over 1250m. He had been second to Castlejohn at Canterbury on soft ground prior after jumping awkwardly. Third-up with wet-track form, he shapes as a major threat.

Was near the top of betting in a Benchmark 70 at Gold Coast last start but only managed eighth behind Berezka, beaten just over three lengths after settling well back. His previous second at this venue was much better, beaten just under a length on soft ground despite home-straight interference. The 1400m record keeps him to place territory.

Second-up after an 11th in a 3yo+ Benchmark 78 at Randwick, where he was unwanted in the market, bumped early and held up from the 300m when beaten five lengths. He has since won a Newcastle trial and has two wins from two trials since last racing, so there is scope to improve. Best form gives him a fringe hope, but recent race form is patchy.

Worked into it well when third at this track in a 3-4yo Benchmark 70 over 1200m, beaten a length and a half by Tiz Worthy on soft ground. That was a better effort than his prior fifth here, when sent out favourite and unable to finish off. Still has a 1400m question to answer, but the local form puts him in the mix.

Comes off a sound third at this track in a Benchmark 70, beaten a length and a half by Precise Star at generous odds after covering ground. That followed a CG Class 1 win at Ipswich, where he beat Pass The Peak by just over half a length. Proven at 1400m, but stronger winning chances are engaged.

Returns from a lengthy spell after ending last campaign with a head second in Class 4 company at Gold Coast over 1800m, travelling well and only just missing behind Forty Times. She had earlier run third to Addition at Doomben as favourite, so the form reads well for this grade. Proven enough at 1400m to run well fresh.

Returns from a lengthy spell after a seventh at this track in a Benchmark 70 over 1800m, beaten five lengths after being slow away and covering ground from the 800m. Her prior 11th at Doomben was disappointing after starting favourite in an open betting contest. Trialled recently; others look safer.

Was brave when third in a Benchmark 65 at Doomben, beaten a length and a half after racing keenly and wide throughout before being run down late by Flaxlands. That followed a Class 1 win at Tamworth, where she lengthened strongly from back in the field. Barrier 13 makes the task tougher.

Has the right profile after a close fourth in a 3yo+ Benchmark 78 at Rosehill, beaten just under a length by Silvanito after beginning awkwardly and finishing hard from well back. Two back she was third, again beaten just under a length, in a 3yo+ FM Benchmark 78 despite becoming awkwardly placed near the 350m. Race fit, suited at the trip and looks the one to beat.

Has won her past two, the latest a narrow FM Class 1 success at Sunshine Coast over 1200m when she loomed and fought hard to beat Shahar. The Ipswich maiden win before that was also positive, scoring by a length on soft ground. Untested at 1400m and drawn wide, so this is a sharper test.

Second-up after finishing second last in a 5yo+ Benchmark 72 at Canterbury, beaten just under three lengths by Unstopabull after settling back and only battling from the turn. Her final run before that break was a much better Doomben third behind Grammar Lad, when held up passing the 300m. The 1400m suits, but she has to improve sharply.
