Made good late ground when third in a Benchmark 85 over 2020m at Doomben, beaten a length and a half by Livalittle after starting an outside chance. That followed another third at Murwillumbah in 3yo+ Open grade on soft ground. Proven around this trip, though the wide barrier tempers the winning case.

Fought on well for third at Gold Coast last start, beaten just over a length by Demarcay after being near the top of an open market. He rises from provincial to harder metro company, but his prior Benchmark 70 win at this track over San Gabriel reads well for this. Meets a harder metro task, but the claim and current form keep him right in play.

Beaten a nose by Demarcay at Gold Coast when sent out favourite, and the run had merit after he was held up approaching the 400m before finishing strongly. He also went close at this venue over 2400m two back on soft ground, despite beginning slowly and racing keenly. Has frustrated punters but finds another suitable assignment and is the one to beat with Maloney reuniting.

Worked home without threatening when sixth at Gold Coast last start, beaten three and a half lengths by Demarcay after being unwanted in the market. She had been eighth in a Quality at Cairns prior, where a slow start left her too much to do. Minor claims only if she sharpens sharply.

Comes off a determined Gold Coast win, beating Captain Maverick by a nose at big odds and also holding Social Outcast behind him. That was a rise from his Benchmark 65 second to Taravia at Sunshine Coast, where he was beaten just under two lengths. Harder test now, but the claim and recent consistency give him a live place profile.

Was well found in betting but failed to finish off when fifth behind Demarcay at Gold Coast, beaten just over three lengths. The run prior was much stronger, winning a Benchmark 65 at Sunshine Coast from Demarcay by just under two lengths after travelling on speed and keeping finding. Proven at the trip and can bounce back for a placing.

Finished fifth in a Benchmark 70 at Gold Coast on soft ground last week, beaten just under two lengths after being hampered at the start and racing keenly. That was better than her tenth at Doomben in Benchmark 68 grade, but this Benchmark 78 asks more again. Weight relief helps, though the quick back-up and rise to this staying trip leave her with a fair bit to find. Watch for her late though with the light weight, if she was to get involved.

Had some excuses when fifth in a Benchmark 62 at this venue last start, covering ground and being held up approaching the 600m before making solid late inroads. He was also fourth in an NMW at this venue two back at big odds, charging home from well back. Happy to miss.
