Races BR Eagle Farm

Returns from a five-month break after ending last campaign with a plain second last in a 3yo+ Class 4 at Doomben, beaten just over eight lengths after jumping awkwardly and knuckling near the 400m. His previous second in a Benchmark 78 at Ipswich on soft ground was much better, and his 1200m record is sound. His Ipswich second reads well, but the latest race run was plain.

Worked into a handy spot in a CG Benchmark 78 at Gold Coast last start but could not go on, finishing fourth and beaten three lengths. Two back he was eighth in a Benchmark 85 at Doomben, where he made some ground from back in the field without threatening. Better suited in grade, but others bring stronger winning form.

Went within a head of winning at Gold Coast last start when favourite, holding her ground before being run down late by Berezka. That followed a decisive win at this track, where she travelled strongly and beat Stormland by a length and a half. Proven at the trip and looks a major winning player again.

Finished fifth at Gold Coast last start, beaten just over two lengths by Berezka, and the steadied incident near the 300m gives him some excuse. He had earlier run third in a Class 3 at Doomben as favourite, closing from well back to get into the money. Looks a realistic place chance with luck.

Returns from a six-month break after finishing third in a 3yo Quality at this track on heavy ground, beaten just over half a length by State Opera after being bumped at the start. His run prior was less convincing, but he was slow away and had an equipment issue on the home turn. Fresh profile gives him strong claims.

Ran a better race at big odds when fourth at Gold Coast last start, beaten a length and a half by Berezka, but he was close enough at the turn and still could not finish it off. The run prior at this track in a 3yo+ Class 3 was weaker, beaten five and a half lengths after being slow away and keen. The 1200m record keeps him in the risky bracket.

Was second last first-up in a Class 3 at Sunshine Coast, beaten five and a half lengths after beginning slowly, racing keenly and meeting interference on the home turn. Her previous run, also at Sunshine Coast, was a sixth in Class 5 beaten just over eight lengths. Happy to miss.

Closed off from well back when fifth over 1000m at Sunshine Coast last start, beaten just over three lengths after beginning slowly. Two back he was third in a Class 4 at the same venue, again after giving away a start. Place improvement is possible, but winning looks tougher.

Finished seventh in a FM Benchmark 78 at Doomben last start, beaten two and a half lengths after settling back and working home evenly. Her prior sixth behind Manpower was similar, with no clear excuse beyond laying in during the straight. Recent efforts are even, so she profiles as a place hope.

Finished last at Gold Coast when resuming, beaten just under seven lengths behind Berezka at long odds, and there was no clear excuse in the run. His previous start at Taree in a Benchmark 66 on heavy ground was also a last placing, beaten just over five lengths. Hard to see enough improvement on current form.

Was well-supported favourite at this track last start but could only finish fourth, beaten three lengths after settling just off the lead and working home evenly. Before that he led throughout in a Benchmark 65 at this venue, beating Exceed Perfection by just over a length on soft ground. Place claims remain.

Produced the strongest recent pointer when second in a Class 2 at Doomben first-up, beaten a neck by Boss Mode after being slow away, wide from the 800m and awkward near heels around the home turn. His G2 Queensland Guineas run in the autumn can be put to one side at 1600m, and his 1200m record reads well. Back at 1200m with upside, he sets the standard.

Battled on well first-up at Sunshine Coast over 1000m, finishing fourth and beaten just under two lengths after beginning awkwardly. His only other run was a dominant Maiden win at the same venue, where he beat Queen Arni by three and a half lengths after heavy market support. First go at 1200m is the query for a place chance.
