Races BR Eagle Farm

Went within a long neck of Ashkirk at Toowoomba last week, settling rearward before moving into the race and just being pipped late. That was a sharp lift on his ninth at Doomben, and he is now fitter third-up with blinkers applied for the first time and a 1.5kg claim. Built nicely and the rise in trip looks perfect for him now.

Closed to within a long neck at Gold Coast last start despite being checked near the 1000m, and he was respected near the top of betting. His previous third came in a Class 1 at Ipswich, where he began awkwardly and raced wide before working home evenly. Honest profile, with place claims strongest.

Returns from a five-week freshening after finishing sixth at this track, beaten four and a half lengths, when he began awkwardly and worked home fairly without threatening at big odds. Two back he won a 3yo Maiden at Doomben, edging out Raging Raider, and he does get genuine weight relief from that latest run. Doomben maiden win two back gives some hope, but he must find more.

Won a Gold Coast 3yo Maiden by a length and a half last start, overcoming an awkward beginning and a bump near the 300m before beating Syrinx. That followed a debut third in a 2yo Open at Ipswich on heavy ground, so his two-start record has substance. Harder now, but has upside.

Broke through at this track and distance last start, leading narrowly and holding off Great Times Ahead by a head as a dominant odds-on favourite in a 3yo Maiden. She had earlier run second at Ipswich behind Weownachevy after covering ground, so the form line is solid. Quick back-up and soft ground are queries, but she has the right profile for a placing.

Powered over the top from well back to win a soft-track Maiden at Sunshine Coast, despite racing wide throughout and striking interference on the home turn. That was a clear improvement on her fourth in a 3yo F Maiden at Doomben, where she was slow out but made ground from the rear. The 1500m is new, but she can can threaten

Put away a small Sunshine Coast 3yo Maiden as favourite last start, beating Weona Satono by just over a length after settling just off the lead. The run prior at Ipswich had merit, as she was steadied near the 300m and was beaten just under two lengths by Raging Raider. This track is the query, but she has place claims.

Improved to fifth in an FM Maiden at Doomben last start, beaten three and a half lengths after settling well back and picking up nicely, but she was unwanted in betting. Her debut seventh at Ipswich was plain, although she raced wide and keenly. Light weight helps; stronger form is required.
