Races CR York

Made some ground without threatening on debut at Collie, finishing fourth of seven and beaten six and a half lengths after settling rearward. The market offered little encouragement that day and he now carries the top weight, albeit with a 3kg claim to help. The 3kg claim helps, though a clear lift is required.

Went close at Collie last start, finishing second to Hard To Top and beaten a length and a half after sitting behind the leaders and closing strongly as odds-on favourite. The run prior at this track came in BM44+ grade, where he raced keenly and wide before fading into seventh. The earlier BM44+ run was costly, so he looks a place hope.

Comes off consecutive Geraldton thirds, most recently beaten just over two lengths by Alot Of Desire after pressing forward and fighting on at generous odds. Today's easier meeting is a positive, and he has placed three times from seven starts around 1500m. The 1500m record is more place than win, but he is holding form.

Resumed with a plain ninth at Belmont Park, beaten eight and a half lengths after travelling midfield and offering little, though he was tightened near straightening and lost gear late. That was mid-week company and this looks easier, but the market was cool and he was beaten by Diamond Choux in the same race. Easier meeting helps; improvement is essential.

Returns from a lengthy spell with a solid third at Lark Hill in her latest trial, giving some indication she is forward enough to resume. Her two race starts before the break were both unplaced, including a second-last finish at Albany after racing wide throughout, following a heavy debut defeat at Pinjarra. Race form before the break was plain, so she has plenty to prove.

Was unwanted in the market and safely held first-up at Northam, finishing second last and beaten just under eight lengths after settling well back and covering ground. His previous run at Pinjarra was similar, with another second-last finish at big odds. Blinkers come off, but others have stronger claims.

Drops out of Class B company after finishing fifth of six at Leinster, beaten six and a half lengths when near the top of betting and unable to come on. He had been fourth at Leonora the run prior and now reaches his third run of the campaign. The latest Leinster run was below par, but his 1500m record keeps him in exotics.

Kept on without threatening when eighth at Northam 10 days ago, beaten six and a half lengths at big odds after settling well back. The quick back-up and 1500m record are both concerns, with five previous attempts around this distance for no wins or placings. Quick back-up and a poor 1500m record make this a tough ask.

Made solid late ground for fourth at Belmont Park last start, beaten just under four lengths after settling well back and covering ground in mid-week company. The previous Ascot ninth was plain, but she is race fit, comes to an easier meeting and is rated on top for recent form. Race fit and well placed to go close.

Makes her debut after trialling at Lark Hill a few weeks ago, so the race-day evidence is still limited. The Mack Hall stable is one of the leading trainers at this track, and its debut statistics show one win and six placings from 15 starters, which gives some grounding to her place claims. Wide draw is the query, but she has place appeal.

Finished sixth at Northam last start, beaten four and a half lengths after settling back and keeping on from a difficult position. The stronger reference is her start prior at this track, where she was beaten a long neck by Choux'N'Whiskey and finished ahead of several key rivals. Strong chance if she repeats her best.

Was disappointing at Northam last start, finishing eighth and beaten seven lengths after leading and being swamped, with no obvious excuse. Her previous effort at this track was much stronger, when pipped at the post by Choux'N'Whiskey after leading. Barrier 1 and fourth-up fitness make her a major player.

Returns from a one-month break after finishing last at this track, beaten over 11 lengths on soft ground, although he did blunder at the start. The prior Bunbury run was also poor, with a last placing and a margin beyond 19 lengths after being unwanted in betting. Recent margins and the long maiden record make him a rough place chance at best.
