Races CR York

Returns from a five-week let-up after finishing tenth at Bunbury, beaten eight and a half lengths after settling rearward and never threatening. His debut there was weaker again, ending last and beaten over 12 lengths at long odds. Needs to lift.

Improved at her second start when second at Kalgoorlie, beaten three and a half lengths after being an outside chance in the betting. Her debut fifth at this track came in BM44+ grade, where she began slowly but was only beaten two and a half lengths. Third-up with a 3kg claim, she is a key chance.

Had some excuses last start at Northam when wide early and near heels before finishing last, beaten just over nine lengths, but the result still leaves him with work to do. His previous Bunbury run was well beaten at long odds, and he remains winless from 17 starts. Has to lift sharply.

Made some ground in the result without threatening when sixth at Northam last start, beaten just over three lengths at big odds. That was her first run of the campaign, and she backs up quickly from it. A place hope rather than a strong win play.

Started near the top of betting and finished third at Northam last start, beaten just over two lengths after looking in control before being easily accounted for late. The run prior was in Open grade at Belmont Park, where he was safely held over 1400m. Reliable enough for exotics, with the win harder to sell.

Was disappointing as favourite at Northam last start, finishing seventh and beaten just under six lengths after covering ground. The run prior is the stronger guide, having been second to Unimando there and beaten a length and a half despite being held up near the 250m. Race fit and placed here, she sets the standard.

Resumed in FM Class 1 grade at Belmont Park and finished fifth, beaten four lengths after holding a handy position before failing to go on. She had earlier been seventh in a Mdn at Northam when near the top of an open market. Still has to convert that into a stronger finishing effort.

Returns from a five-week let-up after a narrow Northam fourth, beaten just over half a length in a Mdn after leading and being pipped late. His previous Bunbury run was weaker, but he again showed early pace before fading. The 2kg claim helps and he is a major player.

Returns from a lengthy spell after ending her last preparation with a second-last at Belmont Park, beaten over 15 lengths and unwanted in the market. Her previous run at this venue was also plain, finishing eighth and beaten eight and a half lengths. Hard to support first-up on exposed form.

Makes her debut with first-time blinkers and comes through a latest trial that was a solid third at Belmont Park. Mack Hall is one of the leading trainers at this track, and the stable profile gives her some interest in a race where several exposed runners have convictions. Has enough stable and trial support to run well.

Was wide throughout on debut at Northam, which gives some context to the 11th placing and beaten just under eight lengths. She had shown enough in trials to get to the races, but the first race effort was still well short of the main chances. Still has plenty to find off that Northam result.

Had excuses first-up at Belmont Park when jumping awkwardly, racing wide and hanging out before finishing tenth, beaten six and a half lengths. Her previous Pinjarra run in a Mdn was poor on paper, but she was slow away and eased near the 1100m. Her figures are plain, but this setup gives her a live chance to improve.

Was second last at Northam last start, beaten six and a half lengths, with late interference noted but no strong finish before that. Two back she was fifth there over 1000m after racing wide throughout and working home fairly. Looking to others.

Finished last at Northam last start, beaten over 14 lengths after beginning slowly and making no impression. Her Bunbury run before that was also poor, beaten over 11 lengths after weakening from the 500m. Others bring far stronger form.

Comes back quickly after finishing last at Ascot five days ago, beaten over 14 lengths in metro company on soft ground. His Northam run prior was also safely held at long odds, and he remains unplaced from 11 starts. The 3kg claim helps, but his winless, unplaced record is hard to overlook.
