Races PRX Happy Valley - HK

Returns from a five-week let-up after finishing ninth in Class 3 at Sha Tin, beaten three and a half lengths by Absolute Heart after chasing the leaders into the straight. His prior run was also in Class 3, when seventh to Motor and unwanted in the market. Recent form is plain, but his track-and-trip record keeps him in the winning mix.

Made a strong return when second at Sha Tin, beaten half a length by Let's Have Fun after starting a short odds-on favourite. That followed a fourth over 1400m, beaten two lengths and again respected in betting, so the recent form is reliable. The winless record is the query, but the form is strong.

Has been well held in two runs this campaign, most recently ninth at Sha Tin over 1400m when beaten seven lengths after making only a short-lived move. He was also 11th first-up, beaten five and a half lengths.

Continued his honest campaign when third at Sha Tin, beaten a length and a half by Ace Eagle after settling midfield and coming under pressure late. The run prior was a sound win over 1400m, beating Prestige Come by just over a length as odds-on favourite. More reliable for a place than a win, especially with James Orman back aboard.

Comes through a heavy defeat on the All-Weather, finishing eighth at Sha Tin Aw and beaten over 11 lengths at big odds after fading late. His previous run at this venue was better on paper, beaten just under four lengths, but he was still second last and long odds. Place claims only with sharp improvement.

Returned with a very good second at this track, beaten a neck by Kwai Chung Talents after being taken back from a wide draw and staying on well. His previous run at Sha Tin was also sound, beaten two lengths by Ka Ying Resilience. Barrier 1 gives him a better platform and he looks a strong chance.

Finished fourth at this track last start, beaten a length and a half by Malpensa after getting every chance inside until late. That followed another fourth at Sha Tin, where he was unwanted in the market but stuck on fairly. The track-and-distance record keeps the win case in check.

Makes his debut with a profile that commands respect, led by Zac Purton taking the ride from barrier 2. The family has quality, with full sibling Vegas Queen a G2 winner, and that gives him more depth than the average first starter. Race experience is missing, but the profile is strong.

Made some ground early in the straight when tenth at this track over 1000m, beaten just under five lengths by Super Sixty, but he was unwanted in the market. His first-up run was much weaker, finishing last at Sha Tin and beaten over 14 lengths. The 1200m profile is unproven and others bring stronger form.

Worked home evenly when eighth at this track, beaten just over three lengths by Charming Babe at big odds, which was at least a cleaner effort than the margin suggests. The concern is the run prior, when last at Sha Tin and beaten over 19 lengths.

Improved sharply when third at this track last start, beaten just under two lengths by Virtus Glory after switching wider into the straight and staying on. His previous run was poor over 1000m at Sha Tin, where he finished last and was well beaten. Win record is modest, but that run puts him in the place discussion.

Backs up after finishing last at Sha Tin over 1400m, beaten just over nine lengths after settling at the rear and making no impact. His fifth to Solid Car two starts ago was much better, beaten only a length and a half, and he does have two career wins. His fifth two back gives some hope, but he profiles as a rough place chance.
