Races PRX Happy Valley - HK

Backs up after one week following a solid fifth in a Class 4 at Sha Tin Aw, where he was beaten just over two lengths by Giant Leap at generous odds. He had been favourite when ninth at this track start prior after getting held up around the home turn. Drops to Class 5, gets a 3kg claim and has the track record to be the one to beat.

Returns from a five-week freshening after a sixth at Sha Tin in Class 4, where he was crowded at the start and stayed on without threatening Flowing Riches. His previous run was another sixth, beaten five lengths by Lightness Of Music, so the recent form still asks for sharper finishing. Last start had an early squeeze, so he can improve sharply third-up.

Returns from a five-month break after ending last campaign with a second-last in Class 4 at this track, beaten over 12 lengths by Danica's Choice after settling midfield and fading. He had been sixth at Sha Tin start prior at big odds, which was more respectable without being a strong form reference. Recent race form is thin and an unplaced seven-start record is hard to overlook.

Worked home evenly when fifth as favourite in a Class 4 at this track last start, beaten just over three lengths by Super Sixty after being bumped. Two back he was eighth, beaten just under three lengths by Georgian Sigma after racing wide throughout.

Won at this track two starts ago, leading and scoring from Solar River by just under two lengths, then was fifth at Sha Tin behind Sunny Q when beaten just over two lengths after being bumped. He has two wins and three places from 14 starts at this track and distance, and Britney Wong has already won on him. Strong chance with Britney Wong back aboard.

Finished ninth in a Class 4 at Sha Tin last start, beaten two and a half lengths by Supreme Voyager at big odds, but he faded late and had no obvious excuse. The run prior was a seventh at this venue, beaten just under six lengths after travelling behind the lead and offering little when asked.

Had a wide run when ninth at this track last start, beaten seven lengths by Verbier at big odds, so that effort can be treated more kindly than the margin alone. He was also wide when eighth behind Spicy Spangle start prior, beaten just over four lengths. Back to a winning track-and-distance setup, but place claims look stronger.

Returns from a four-month break after a second-last in Class 4 at this track, beaten over 16 lengths by Another Zonda and never involved after being slow away. He had also finished second-last here start prior, beaten over 13 lengths by Viva Firecracker.

Returns from a five-week let-up after leading and fading to ninth at Sha Tin, beaten four and a half lengths by Vigor Elleegant. His previous run at this venue was also plain, finishing eighth and beaten just over seven lengths by No Other Choice. Recent form is plain, but his track-and-trip record gives place claims.

Dropped out quickly when second-last at this track last start, beaten eight and a half lengths by Verbier after pressing forward from a wide draw. His third here start prior behind Spicy Spangle was far better, beaten just over two lengths at generous odds. Drawn better and capable of bouncing back.

Had genuine traffic when sixth at Sha Tin last start, held up near the 300m before staying on to be beaten just under three lengths by Sunny Q. That followed a sound second at this track behind Spicy Spangle, beaten just under two lengths after making ground without threatening. Maiden record hurts, but he is a live place hope.

Was tenth at this track last start, beaten eight lengths by Verbier at big odds after fading late, and that continued a downward pattern this campaign. He had been more competitive start prior when sixth behind Spicy Spangle, beaten three lengths, but that came after market respect and still did not produce a placing. Still unplaced from 13 starts and others bring stronger closing form.
