Races PRX Happy Valley - HK

Has been improving through the campaign, finishing third at this track last start when beaten three lengths by Ace after being bumped early and working home evenly. The start prior at Sha Tin was also sound, finishing fifth and beaten a length and a half despite being unwanted in the market. The 1650m record is the query, but he can run into the minors.

Returns from a lengthy spell after being seventh at Sha Tin in March, beaten just over two lengths when held up at key stages and not fully tested late. His previous run was also better than eighth reads after hanging in the straight. Place chance if ready.

Resumed with an 11th at Sha Tin, beaten three and a half lengths at big odds after only battling on. His fifth before the break was fair without threatening, and he is still unplaced from four starts overall. Has to find more.

Was safely held first-up at Sha Tin, finishing tenth and beaten just over eight lengths after fading late. His previous GRIFFIN run was weaker again, beaten over 11 lengths when he failed to close off. Recent form leaves him looking a rough hope only.

Returns from a five-week freshening after finishing tenth at Sha Tin, beaten six lengths at big odds when he faded late. The run prior was another tenth in GRIFFIN grade, beaten seven and a half lengths, so the form pattern is hard to endorse. Untried at 1650m and must lift sharply.

Returns from a six-week freshening after a disappointing last at this track, beaten over 10 lengths as favourite after leading and fading. His previous win at this venue was much stronger, beating Sturdy Ruby by half a length when near the top of betting. A rebound would put him in the placings.

Could only finish ninth at this track first-up, beaten just over five lengths after having no extra late, and he had been safely held at Sha Tin before the break. More a place hope than a win play.

Has put himself right in contention with consecutive seconds at this track, beaten a head two back and then half a length by Akermanis Gold last start after sustaining his run in the straight. He is third-up now and has twice placed at this track and distance without winning here. Still seeking a win here over the trip, but current form makes him a major danger.

Was much better last start when sixth at this track, beaten just under two lengths by Akermanis Gold at long odds. That was a clear step forward from his second-last here the run prior, where he raced ungenerously early and failed to quicken. The 1650m record is the main restraint on his winning case.

Brings the strongest recent form, with two seconds from two runs this campaign and a closing second at this track last start when beaten just under a length as favourite. He had earlier been beaten only a neck at Sha Tin after running on strongly. Still a maiden, but he is racing too well to ignore and looks the one to beat.

Comes back on a 10-day turnaround after finishing last at Sha Tin, beaten over 13 lengths and never in contention. The start prior was also modest, beaten just over seven lengths when 12th at generous odds. Draws well, but six unplaced runs overall make him only a rough place hope.

Went very close at this track last start, finishing second and beaten a neck by Shooting To Top. His fifth here the run prior had some merit after settling keenly and making ground late without reaching the leaders. Reliable place profile here and a strong winning chance.
