Races MR Pakenham

Resumed with a narrow BM56 win at Ballarat, coming from rearward and still scoring after having difficulty obtaining clear running near the 100m. He rises from country company into a harder meeting, but the win over Bifrost ties in well and Caitlin Hollowood stays with him claiming 2kg. Class rise is the query but he brings winning form and can measure up.

Returns from a six-week let-up after leading and fading when fifth at Morphettville Parks, beaten three and a half lengths by Chicago Blues in Saturday company. The easier meeting helps and his close third in a latest trial at Pakenham adds a fitness pointer. Can roll forward but place looks best.

Was safely held first-up at Seymour, finishing ninth at long odds and beaten seven lengths without offering a clear excuse. Her prior run in BM56 grade at Mornington was also plain, with another on-speed position failing to translate into a finish. Risking.

Returns from a five-week freshening after leading and weakening late in a BM66 at Cranbourne, where she was near the top of an open market. This is easier company, she had won a Flemington trial beforehand, and her previous FM BM70 win over Honor Galore showed her best is well up to this. Can do much better now and D Lane sticking is a good lead.

Has been racing consistently but now rises from BM56 grade after a third at Mornington, where he was near the top of betting and beaten three lengths by Ilovediamonds. Two back he ran Les Braves close at Ballarat despite being held up late, and the weight relief helps on the quick back-up. Place best again.

Worked forward and covered ground when fourth at Seymour, beaten just over three lengths by Parcae at generous odds. The run prior at Sale was stronger, leading into the final stages before being beaten just over half a length by Bold Bordeaux. Going okay and is in the mix.

Broke through in a Mdn at Bairnsdale, leading and holding off Charleanor by just under a length after starting as an outside chance. The concern is the rise from Mdn grade after he had been beaten over 15 lengths at Mornington the run prior. This looks a bit too tough.

Resumes after an eight-month break following a narrow Mdn win at this track, where she beat Fear The Impact by half a length at outside odds. She has since won a trial at Moe, which is a useful readiness signal, and she already owns a win at this venue and trip. Has this-venue-and-trip form, but the race form is still a bit shaky.

Resumes after a five-month break with a recent Mornington trial win to help his readiness. He was last seen finishing fifth in Open company on heavy ground at Mornington, beaten just over four lengths by Determined Rose, and had won a Mdn there the run prior after beginning slowly and finding clear air late. Not the worst, watch betting.

Resumed with a sixth at Seymour, beginning slowly and failing to quicken after being near the top of betting. Her previous BM64 run at Caulfield Heath had more merit, as she came from well back and caught the eye when beaten just over two lengths. Fitter and can improve.

Returns from a five-week freshening after being well beaten in the G3 Scarborough Stakes at Caulfield, a race that was too strong and saw her unwanted in the market. Her Sandown-Hillside run two back in BM66 grade had excuses after an awkward start and late restraint, and she now drops sharply in grade third-up. A long way back in class for this and can bounce back.

Comes back within six days after finishing seventh in a BM56 at Yarra Valley, where he was slow away, raced keenly and was only fair through the line. His third at Bairnsdale the start prior was more competitive, beaten just over a length by Mr Tickles, but he rises from BM56 grade and owns just one win from 28 starts. Place looks the ceiling.

Comes through two solid placings, the latest a third at Warrnambool on heavy ground when he was well-supported favourite and worked home from a long way back. His Geelong second to Immortal Triumph before that was sound, beaten a length after travelling well. Likely to push forward and has each way claims again.
