Races SRX Bathurst

Had excuses when last at Dubbo, bucking shortly after the start and racing wide throughout before finishing beaten eight and a half lengths by Easy Trapezee. The Moree run prior was sound enough, travelling wide and still fourth behind Lucky Ozzie after leading briefly into the straight. Has a 1200m placing profile, but top weight keeps her to place claims.

Resumes after a three-month break following a last placing at Gosford on heavy ground, where she jumped awkwardly and was beaten eight and a half lengths by Kwirky Smile. Her Newcastle run prior in a BM64 was better, finishing fifth and beaten just under three lengths after again beginning awkwardly. Off a freshen here and a firmer deck can see her put in an improved effort.

Made the right return at Wagga, winning a Mdn over this trip as favourite by just over a length from Pure Warrior despite racing wide. She had shown ability before the break when fourth at Gundagai after missing the start and racing keenly, so the first-up result confirmed her upside. Too good first-up and with her profile, she looks ready to go on with the job.

Worked into the minor money at Newcastle last start, finishing third in a BM64 and beaten three and a half lengths by Emalyn after starting an outside chance. Her previous sixth in a Class 2 at Goulburn was also within the same margin, so the form has held up. Drawn wide, but finds a more suitable race today and she can put her best foot forward getting back out in trip.

Returns from a lengthy spell with two trials behind her, which gives some fitness base for a first-up run. She was seventh at Hawkesbury in a Class 2 at her final run before the break after beginning slowly, laying out and striking interference, while her Mudgee second prior showed she can finish off. Has placed at this track and distance, but the long absence makes her a cautious place hope.

Resumes after a five-month break having ended last campaign with a Mdn win at Narrandera, making the running and scoring in a photo finish on soft ground. She had also been third at Corowa behind Regal Reggie, so the form line had been building. Resumes here and it wouldn't surprise to see her pick up from where she left off.

Comes in quickly after a strong Orange third, beaten just under a length by Rule Of Faith despite being unwanted in the market and bumped at the start. That was a clear lift on her Wellington fourth, and she now reaches peak fitness third-up with a 2kg apprentice claim. Third-up now and inching towards a victory.

Returns from a lengthy spell after winning a Port Macquarie Mdn by just over a length, pressing forward and opening up to beat Immortal Storm. A solid third in her latest Hawkesbury trial helps her readiness, and blinkers come off for the new trainer. That latest trial suggests she's not out of this despite the long break.

Resumed at Orange in a BM58 and finished fifth behind Vicious Rumour, beaten just over four lengths after starting at long odds. The quick back-up is a positive and the grade looks more suitable, but she is unplaced in two starts at this track and has not placed in two previous runs around 1200m. Track and 1200m records are against her, so improvement is required.

Was never competitive at Orange last week when beaten out of sight by Rule Of Faith after blundering or knuckling near the 500m and being eased. Her Grenfell second in a Class 2 two runs back was much better, albeit in a small field, and she has useful 1200m form. Grenfell second gives her some hope, though others appeal more.
