Races BR Sunshine Coast

Returns from a lengthy spell after more than a year off, with a Sunshine Coast Inner Track trial placing giving some indication of readiness. His last campaign included a second at this track over 1800m, beaten just over a length as favourite, before a disqualification at Doomben in Class 3 company. Past form has some merit, but race fitness is the major hurdle.

Went close at Gold Coast last start, finishing second and beaten just under a length after travelling well behind the leaders. He had earlier run fifth at this track in a Class 3, where he laid out and was bumped late, and his record of two wins from three starts at this venue is a major strength. The 1400m is new, but he sets the standard.

Back after five months off with two trials since last racing, so he should have some groundwork for the return. He was third in a BM62 at Wangaratta on heavy ground before the break, slow away and checked but still keeping on, after a plain second-last at Geelong. Proven at 1400m, yet this is a harder assignment than that country form and he has to lift sharply. Looking to others at this stage.

Resumed with a solid fourth at this track over 1200m in BM65 grade, slow to begin before charging home to be beaten a length and a half. That was a better return than his Gold Coast Poly sixth before the break, and he has one win and three placings from six runs at this track and distance. Each-way hope.

Returns from a lengthy spell after more than a year off, with a recent Deagon trial win the positive readiness pointer. He was disqualified at Eagle Farm in BM85 grade when near the top of an open market and also disqualified at this venue the run prior. Ability is there, but the 1400m record and long break temper the view.

Was fifth at Gold Coast in a BM62 last start, beaten just under three lengths after working home evenly and suffering late interference. The run prior was stronger, second at this track in CG Class 1 grade and beaten a nose after being held up around the home turn. Has to turn the tables on Tam Na Ghar.

Arrives off a deserved BM65 win at Gold Coast, beating Duke Of Camden by just over half a length after sitting behind the leaders and lifting late. Her previous Ipswich fourth was also sound, beaten two lengths in the same grade. Looks a genuine winning hope again.

Finished second last at Beaudesert last start, beaten just over nine lengths after being slow away and held up in the straight.

Improved to third at Rockhampton in BM65 grade last start, beaten two and a half lengths, though she only battled on after being close enough at the turn. Her Doomben run prior was plain at big odds in Class 3 company. She has placed twice from three attempts at the distance and owns a win at this track, but her latest figures still leave her short of the better hopes. Place chance.

Had genuine excuses when fourth at Toowoomba last start in CG Class 1 grade, keen in the run and held up until the 300m before boxing on. He was beaten a nose at this track two back in the same grade, again after being held up, so the recent form has more depth than the bare results. Close third here two back makes him a realistic place player.

Eased back from metro company after finishing sixth in a FM BM68 at Doomben, beaten just under four lengths with no obvious excuse. That followed a fighting FM Class 1 win at this track, where she beat Shahar by a neck and was well found in betting. Prior win at this track keeps her in the place mix.

Led throughout to win a BM62 at Gold Coast last start, beating Cantankerous by just under two lengths in a much sharper performance. Her Ipswich run prior was safely held, but she is now fourth-up and has two wins and one placing from five attempts around 1400m. Will give them something to catch again.

Won strongly at this track last start in a BM60, scoring by two lengths over Half Moon Roo on soft ground as favourite. That backed up a sound third at Gold Coast in Class 1 grade, where she was awkward away and still finished within two lengths. Clear winning claims.

Ran a strong third in a FM BM68 at Doomben last start, beaten just over a length after beginning slowly and being held up in the straight. She had also closed hard for third at this track behind Snitzstream, beaten just over half a length when favourite. Back in easier company and looks a major player.

Has found winning form with consecutive victories, most recently leading at this track in a BM58 and holding on by a head from Flop Shot. She had broken through at Doomben in FM Mdn grade the run prior at generous odds, again showing early speed. Wide draw and stronger opposition make it tougher.

Scored at this track in a BM58 last start, overcoming some trouble before lengthening well to beat Clubhouse by just over a length. She had earlier finished fifth behind Snitzstream in FM Class 1 grade, beaten two and a half lengths after beginning awkwardly. The latest win was sound, but this is a deeper contest and she has to prove she can repeat it under more pressure. Wide draw will test her.

Won a BM58 at Grafton last start, beating Sunset Trail by a neck on soft ground after covering ground early. That came after a plain ninth at Coffs in Class 1 company, so the improvement was clear. Harder now, but not hopeless for the minors.

Was not disgraced in metro company at Doomben last start, finishing fifth and beaten two and a half lengths at big odds after sitting handy. Two back she swept home from well back to win a BM60 at this track over 1600m, beating Makamae by a long neck. Looks a genuine place hope.

Beaten two lengths when fifth at Lismore last start in Class 3 grade, with the market expecting better from the well-supported favourite. His previous BM58 win at Lismore over Caishen was solid, and he remains race fit for his first look at this track. Distance record is the main concern.

Finished eighth at this track in a BM58 last start, beaten four and a half lengths after tracking the lead and copping interference in the straight.

Back after two months off following a Toowoomba fifth, where he was beaten four and a half lengths as a well-supported favourite after racing wide and keenly. He had earlier been seventh in a BM68 at Doomben, starting long odds and never really threatening from back in the field. Capable at 1400m, but recent form is below the main chances.
