Races BR Sunshine Coast

Led and weakened late when eighth in a BM70 at Toowoomba, beaten seven and a half lengths by Bluepinot after having every chance in front. She was also well held in Class 6 company at Gold Coast the run prior, despite a small home-turn issue. Must lift on current figures.

Gave another bold sight when fourth in a Class 3 at this track, beaten a length and a half by Prochester after leading deep into the race. That followed a narrow Gold Coast second behind Chicago King, so his form has held together well. The trip is within range and he rates a strong chance.

Finished tenth in a Quality at Toowoomba, beaten just under eight lengths by Cavalry Man, with late interference noted but not enough to fully excuse the result. His Doomben BM68 run prior was also plain after he was close enough and faded. Others appeal more.

Did not quicken when seventh in a BM70 at Gold Coast on soft ground, beaten just over three lengths by Brain Wave. The run prior was much better, a close Class 4 third behind Roguery, but he has not won in three tries around this trip and remains winless from six starts at this venue. A minor hope at best.

Closed strongly for fourth in a BM60 at Gold Coast, beaten a length and a half by All About Artie, and that late work pointed to him being ready to peak. He was flatter in a BM70 at this track two back, but his three wins and three placings from eleven starts at this track and distance are a major asset. At his top now and can play a major role.

Made ground from well back when seventh at this track over 1400m last week, beaten just under four lengths after being hampered. He had earlier run second in a small-field Class 5 at this venue after missing the start. First go around 1800m but his splits suggest he will relish it.

Was supported and finished sixth in a BM70 at Gold Coast, beaten just over two lengths by Brain Wave after being bumped early and steadied near the 400m. His fifth in Class 3 company before that had merit after covering ground at long odds. The class drop and third-up timing give him scope, but he is still unplaced at the distance and venue, so improvement is required. Wide draw adds difficulty.

Won a Mdn at Eagle Farm by a nose from Kalamia King, coming over the top after being near the top of betting. He had also been narrowly beaten in a Mdn at this track, so his consistency is sound. This is a much tougher assignment now.

Worked home evenly for third in a BM60 at Gold Coast, beaten a length and a half by All About Artie, after winning a BM58 there from California Grass. He has already beaten Ring Bearer recently and brings a useful record with Archie McColm. Rising in grade, but clearly in the mix.

Built on a sound campaign by winning a BM60 at this track, beating Clubman by a long neck after being sent out odds-on and lengthening strongly late. Her Gold Coast third before that had merit given several interference notes, and she has one win and two placings from four starts around 1800m. Can make it two on the bounce with Thompson taking over.

Dominated a Mdn at this track last start, beating Blood Red by just over five lengths as an odds-on favourite. Before that he made late inroads at Eagle Farm when fifth behind Zweigelt on soft ground, showing he was close to breaking through. Harder now, but the win was strong enough for place claims.

Made some ground without threatening when fifth in a BM60 at Gold Coast, beaten two lengths by All About Artie after racing keenly early. His Warwick Class 3 third prior was solid, beaten just over half a length by So You Can Torque. Place chance if he settles better.

Eases back from saturday company after finishing sixth in a Class 3 at Eagle Farm, beaten just over three lengths by Giapponese with late interference noted. Two starts ago she won a Class 2 at this track from Golden Smile, giving a kick and holding them safely. Looks a genuine place hope back in suitable grade.

Was checked near the 1300m and later finished last in a Class 3 at this track, beaten four and a half lengths by Prochester after settling back. His Gold Coast BM60 run first-up was much weaker, beaten eight and a half lengths after missing the start. Has to find far more.

Eases from metro company after finishing fifth in a Class 2 at Doomben, beaten two and a half lengths by Toro Strike at big odds. She had earlier swept home from well back to win a BM60 at this track, beating Makamae by a long neck. Place claims.

Had genuine excuses when eighth in a Class 3 at Eagle Farm, covering ground throughout in saturday company and finishing four and a half lengths from Giapponese. Her second to Fiery Lass at this track before that was much more like it, beaten a long neck after racing handy. Winning chance.

Was much better when second in a BM58 at Gold Coast Poly, beaten just over half a length by Mr Bubbaluski after settling handy and being steadied late. His Gold Coast run prior behind Weekend Artist was plain, beaten just over five lengths after weakening. Weight relief and the quick back-up help, but the class rise and mixed turf record make this a difficult task. Looking to others.
