Races SR Moruya

Returns from a two-month break after a luckless fourth at Forbes over 1600m, where he was slow away, held up in the straight and hampered late yet was beaten only a length and a half. He had earlier run second at Narrandera on soft ground at big odds. The 1300m record is the query, but his Moruya profile gives him place claims.

Resumes from a six-month spell after finishing 11th in the Listed Wagga Wagga Gold Cup over 2000m, where he was at long odds and offered little late. His previous third at Wagga had more merit, beaten just over a length after being held up passing the 350m. Gets Loy on board and he can run a cheeky race on resumption.

Dropped out second last in a Benchmark 85 at Bathurst, beaten just over seven lengths on soft ground after settling well back and only working home fairly. The class drop is a help and he had placed at Canberra Acton the start prior, but that latest run leaves him with ground to make up. Needs to improve on what he's done recently.

Eased from Saturday company after finishing last in a 3yo+ Benchmark 78 at Rosehill, beaten over 12 lengths after jumping awkwardly and never getting involved. He was also last at Randwick two back at big odds, so the recent form reads plainly. Hard to have.

Comes back from provincial company after finishing sixth in a CG Benchmark 64 at Kembla Grange, beaten just under four lengths when he only battled on. His Wagga win before that on heavy ground was sound, storming home to beat Eamonn's Memory by a head. Improvement required.

Backs up from a plain Kembla Grange effort in a CG Benchmark 64, where he jumped awkwardly and finished second last, beaten just under five lengths. His prior Goulburn second in a Benchmark 66 was much better, closing strongly and beaten only half a length after interference near the 200m. His Goulburn second gives him a realistic place profile.

Drops from Saturday company after finishing eighth in a 3yo+ Benchmark 72 at Rosehill, beaten just under four lengths by Formal when not beaten far late. He had won a Benchmark 68 at Kembla Grange before that as a well-supported favourite, beating Satness by half a length. Back to country grade today and can return to winning form.

Won first-up in a Benchmark 74 at Moruya, settling back before sprinting quickly to beat Lady Yarrow by just over two lengths on soft ground. That made it two wins from three starts at the track, and his 1300m record is also reliable. Impressive return effort and he can continue his winning ways.

Resumes from a five-month break after finishing last in a Benchmark 64 at Illawarra Grange, beaten just over seven lengths with no abnormality reported. The run before was more encouraging, looming at Kembla Grange over 1500m before finishing fourth. The Kembla Grange fourth is the only real pointer.

Finished ninth behind Hurry Miss at Canberra last start, beaten just over four lengths after settling rearward and never making a serious impact. She had been held up at Warwick Farm two back, though that was still a safely held fifth at big odds. Others bring stronger current form.

Went within a neck of winning a 3yo+ FM Benchmark 72 at Warwick Farm last week, settling just off the lead and being caught only on the post by Maluku. Her Rosehill fifth in a 3yo+ Benchmark 72 before that was also sound, beaten two and a half lengths. Beautifully placed here on her recent run and she can go one better today.

Arrives off a strong Canberra win, overcoming a slow start before rounding them up to beat Good Prize by a long neck on soft ground. That followed a seventh in a 3yo+ FM Benchmark 78 at Rosehill where she again gave away ground early but kept on. Strong win last start and can go on with the job.

Finished last first-up in a Benchmark 58 at Queanbeyan, beaten just under eight lengths after being slow away and unable to make ground. Her previous run at Moruya over 1650m was better, leading before tiring late and finishing just over two lengths from Exceed Success. Better Moruya run two back, but the local record is against her.

Placed behind Dumebi in a Benchmark 74 at Moruya first-up, beaten just over two lengths after racing wide throughout and still working home well. She had also been third at Sapphire Coast before the break, beaten a length and a half as a well-fancied runner. More a place hope than a clear winning threat.
