Races SR Moruya

Has been around the mark all campaign and now drops out of a Class 1 after finishing third at Queanbeyan, beaten just under a length as a short odds-on favourite. He was steadied early there and still worked home evenly, while his Wagga second two back, beaten a nose on heavy ground, reads well for this. Missed as favourite last time out but is knocking on the door of his maiden victory.

Has not shown enough in two runs this campaign, finishing last of six at Nowra over 1400m when beaten just over five lengths after racing keenly early. His Goulburn sixth fresh was also plain, beaten just under eight lengths at big odds. Class drop helps only slightly.

Improved on paper when fourth at Bathurst over 1400m, beaten a length and a half, though she was unwanted in the market and had every chance from midfield. Two back she was close enough at Goulburn but failed to quicken when beaten six lengths. Will need to improve on what we've seen recently.

Resumed with a midfield Wagga run, finishing seventh over 1400m after settling back and being steadied late, so the beaten margin of just under four lengths was not disastrous. Her previous run was a solid second in a 3yo+ Class 1 at Gosford over 2100m. Can improve with the fresh run under her belt.

Backs up after four days following a seventh at Wagga over 1400m, beaten just over three lengths after being near the top of betting. She had no obvious excuse there, but the Queanbeyan third prior was sound when she travelled well and finished within a length and a half. On the quick turnaround here after just a plain effort earlier this week, though her run prior holds plenty of merit.

Continues to race honestly, finishing second here over 1435m last start when beaten half a length after beginning well and taking up a prominent spot. She had also run third at Moruya two back after covering ground and closing off well. Had a few goes now, but she's racing well and can't be discounted.

Has been well held in recent starts, finishing ninth at Goulburn over 1200m last week when beaten six lengths at long odds. Her previous run was in Class 1 company at Canberra over 2000m, where she was last and beaten over 12 lengths. Gear and claim help, but she must lift sharply.

Lightly raced filly who was sound rather than spectacular when sixth at Canberra over 1300m, beaten two and a half lengths after tracking the speed and working home evenly. Her previous Canberra third had merit, with interference near the 450m before she closed from back in the field. Looks well placed out in trip now and she can raise the bar.
