The previous Benchmark 78 effort at Eagle Farm had more merit than seventh suggests, as he was slow away, steadied and still worked home. Needs luck from off the speed, but the recent form is strong.

Won first-up in a Benchmark 65 over 800m at Ipswich, leading and holding Runaround Sue by just over half a length while near the top of betting.

Forgive the Doomben fourth to Shelstein to a degree, as he jumped awkwardly, was held up around the turn and hampered near the 150m before finishing just over two lengths away in Saturday company. Two back he missed by a head in a Class 5, also after racing wide throughout. Gold Coast form helps if he gets clear running.

Eased from Saturday company after finishing sixth in a Benchmark 78 at Eagle Farm, beaten three and a half lengths after racing keenly, covering ground and laying in. His second to Everybody Rise the run prior was more encouraging, beaten a length and a half in a similar market range. Third-up profile and Gold Coast form keep him in the mix.

Finished last in a Benchmark 78 at Eagle Farm last start, beaten over 13 lengths at big odds after jumping awkwardly and racing wide throughout. That can be marked down, but the margin still leaves him with work to do. His earlier Class 6 second to Esha, beaten just under a length, showed he is not hopeless at this level of form. Needs his Eagle Farm second again.

Before that she was beaten a neck in a Benchmark 82 at Inverell as odds-on favourite. The 1000m and Gold Coast record keep the lid on.

Her latest race run was second last in a Benchmark 78 at Gold Coast, beaten seven lengths after jumping awkwardly and never getting into the race. She was favourite at Doomben two back but finished eighth. Recent race form leaves her needing a clean return.

Comes through strong Eagle Farm form, beating Spirit Of Barty by a long neck in a 3-4yo Benchmark 68 after tracking the speed and fighting hard late. He had been beaten just over half a length in a 3yo Open the start before, so the pattern is reliable. Wide draw is the query, but his 1000m record is excellent.

Two back he was a beaten favourite when fourth to Everybody Rise, again not finishing the race off as expected. Needs the manners to improve.

Her prior Doomben second in a 3yo+ FM Class 3 was another sound effort after an awkward start. Gets her chance to turn consistency into a win.

Ran a strong third in a 3yo+ Class 3 at Eagle Farm last start, beaten a length by Get Ready Lass after racing close enough and sticking on well at outside odds. The Warwick Farm Benchmark 72 run prior was only fair, but he was unwanted there and still beaten under four lengths. The 1000m is the query, but his last run makes him the one to beat.

Kept on for fourth behind Bonded Affair in a Class 5 at Sunshine Coast last week, beaten just over two lengths on soft ground. He had been solid at Ipswich before that when third in a Benchmark 65, beaten just under a length after being tightened early and finishing off. Light weight helps, yet he looks up against the main hopes.

Made some late ground from well back when seventh in a 3yo+ Class 3 at Eagle Farm, beaten three and a half lengths at long odds, but she was never a winning threat.

Led and was run down late when second in a Benchmark 58 at Gold Coast, beaten just under two lengths after jumping awkwardly and racing wide. That was an improvement on his Eagle Farm 3yo+ Class 3 last, where he was unwanted and beaten seven and a half lengths. Place looks the ceiling.
