His Happy Valley run before the break was only fair, but the step back to 1200m is important given he has won three from five at the distance. The claim helps and he looks a major player.

His previous Eagle Farm win over Enforceable was sound, coming from back in the field and carrying 59.5kg. Third-up and capable.

She had won an Open at Muswellbrook the run prior, beating Zaru by a nose as favourite, and her 1200m record is sound. Has 1200m wins, but must bounce back sharply.

Improved sharply at Gold Coast last start when second to Absolute Sunshine, beaten just over half a length after working home evenly from back in the field.

That also has direct relevance, with Midnight Spirit behind her, and her previous Doomben seventh in FM Class 1 reads better given she began awkwardly and raced wide before charging home. The 1200m query is there, but her recent form is the benchmark.

The market missed her there, but she had been beaten just over four lengths as favourite in a Sunshine Coast Class 4 two back. Still a 1200m query, so she must back it up.

Steps up from country grade after a narrow Coffs Harbour Class 3 second, beaten just under a length as a well-supported favourite after leading and being caught late. His Grafton Benchmark 66 second on soft ground was similar, beaten a length and a half. Harder race now, but can give plenty of cheek if they find the front.

Returns from a five-month break with a Beaudesert trial win in the bank, which gives him some readiness for a first-up assignment. His last race run was a second-last in a 3yo Quality at Eagle Farm on heavy ground, beaten six lengths after leading and weakening. Needs to bring his Doomben win form.

Returns from a ten-month break and has trialled at Gold Coast two weeks ago, so there is at least some recent grounding. Her last two runs were over 1400m at this track on soft ground, finishing fourth in a Benchmark 65 and second in a Benchmark 62. Local form helps, but she has a fair fitness task.

Was beaten over 11 lengths behind Strada Varenna in Saturday company at Eagle Farm, though the run had excuses after racing keenly and wide throughout. His previous 3yo+ Class 3 third at Eagle Farm over 1000m was far more competitive, beaten just under three lengths. Needs a major rebound.

Comes north in winning form after taking a Class 1 at Beaumont (Newcastle) on soft ground, beating Nafanua by two lengths as favourite despite being slow away and keen early. He had also won his Maiden at Port Macquarie by two and a half lengths, so the progression is clear. Goes up a couple rungs but looks up to it.
