Races OR Gold Coast Poly

Returns from a one-month freshening after finishing fifth in a CG BM65 at Eagle Farm, beaten just over three lengths after jumping awkwardly and meeting interference near the 900m. His previous second in a BM68 at Ipswich, beaten half a length when near the top of betting, is strong enough for this. The 62kg tests him, but class relief gives him a genuine winning case.

Returns from a five-month break with two trials behind him, including a latest third at Scone, and now has his first run for the Annabel & Rob Archibald stable. He ended last campaign last of six in a Class 3 at Nowra on heavy ground, beaten two and a half lengths, after racing keenly. Has a 1200m query, but his best form gives him strong claims.

Was disappointing as favourite at Gold Coast last start, leading clearly before tiring to finish sixth in a CG BM58, beaten just under four lengths. The run prior was better when third in a BM58 at the same venue after being forced wide on the home turn. Proven at around 1200m and race fit. Worth a spot in exotics.

Only battled when seventh in a CG BM58 at Gold Coast last start, beaten just over four lengths after sitting just off the lead. That was a backward step from his second two runs ago in a BM58 at the same venue, where he worked home well at odds. Place claims if he finds that level again.

Returns from a four-month break after ending last campaign with two safely held runs over 1000m, the latest a sixth at Gold Coast when slow to begin and beaten six and a half lengths in a BM58. He has trialled at Deagon since, which adds some fitness context. One previous try around 1200m produced no placing, so he must improve sharply fresh. Prefer to see under race conditions again first.

Improved when fifth in a CG BM58 at Ipswich last start, beaten two and a half lengths despite being unwanted in the market. Two back he was well beaten in a BM60 at Gold Coast after racing wide throughout, so that run is easier to overlook. Solid place profile.

Returns from a six-month break after two heavy defeats to end last campaign, including an 11th at Gold Coast when beaten over 11 lengths after settling well back at long odds. Her latest trial was a close third at Gold Coast, which is a small positive for readiness. With only one placing from five starts around 1200m, she has a fair bit to prove first-up. Watch for her doing her best work late.

Has missed narrowly at his past two, most recently second in a CG BM60 at Ipswich when beaten a neck and near the top of betting. He had also been edged out at Lismore as an odds-on favourite, so the consistency is clear even if he has not quite sealed the race lately. The quick back-up is the only query, but he sets the standard.

Continued her consistent run when second in an FM BM58 at Gold Coast last start, beaten two and a half lengths after travelling well behind the leaders. She was a narrow third at Warwick before that after making a strong run from back in the field. Weight relief helps, though the win case is not as strong as the place case.

Won at her second start when taking out an FM Mdn at Gold Coast over 1000m, beating Tszinsi by a length and a half after travelling strongly and finishing with something in hand. Her debut seventh at Eagle Farm came on soft ground at long odds and included tightening near the 600m. The 1200m asks more, but she is improving quickly.

Was last at Toowoomba last start, beaten over 15 lengths after jumping awkwardly and weakening from near the speed. That followed a Class B win at Morven where she beat Sheriff's Star by a length, so the form is mixed and the latest effort is hard to ignore. Has to bounce back hard.

Comes around quickly after finishing tenth in a BM50 at Stanthorpe, beaten over 14 lengths, and now meets harder company than that picnic assignment. His previous fourth at Tara was more competitive, beaten a length and a half in a Class B after being hampered at the start. Weight relief and the short back-up are positives, but his recent level still falls short. Happy to avoid.

Worked home solidly first-up at this track when fourth in a BM58 over 1050m, beaten two and a half lengths after jumping awkwardly and coming from well back. He is a track-and-trip winner and reunites with a rider who has won on him, which are useful positives. Looks a realistic place hope.

Was fair to the line when fourth at Ballina last start, beaten five and a half lengths after being bumped on the home turn. She had been second last at Coffs Harbour before that, where tightening passing the 200m added some context without making the run strong. Her overall 1200m record is respectable, but recent form says she must lift to threaten. Looking to others.

Comes off a dominant Mdn win at Tara, beating Outages by just over five lengths with some market support despite racing wide throughout. She had also placed at Gympie two starts back, so the recent form has improved. The concern is that this is harder company than that picnic maiden, and her overall record says she has to confirm the rise in standard. Prefer in something easier.

Has been safely held in both runs this campaign, finishing sixth at Toowoomba last start and beaten over 10 lengths after settling back and making no impression. His fifth in a BM55 at Beaudesert two back was better, but still only moderate at generous odds. Third-up fitness helps in theory, though recent form leaves him with too much to find. Not this time.
