Races OR Gold Coast Poly

Makes his race debut after three trials, the latest a Beaudesert hitout last month, so there is at least some grounding for the first trip to the races. The stable has limited recent debut evidence supplied and there is no race form to measure against exposed rivals. Race pressure is the unknown and others look better exposed.

Had some traffic excuses when tenth at Warwick, where he was steadied near the 500m and had trouble getting clear approaching the 300m, but he was still beaten nine and a half lengths at long odds. His Tabulam fourth came in a small field after a wide run, and he is now unplaced from 14 starts. Four unplaced attempts around this trip leave him with plenty to turn around. Overlooking this time.

Checked early when seventh at Ipswich last week, so that run has some mitigation, but he was beaten just under seven lengths and started at long odds. His previous second at this venue was more competitive, albeit as an unwanted runner who was never really threatening the winner. The 3kg claim helps, yet a 27-start maiden has to find a sharper winning edge. Keeping safe in the exotics.

Third-up now after two fourths this campaign, the latest at Gold Coast when tracking the speed and working home evenly behind Talk About Layla. He beat Poised Tycoon there and should get every chance from barrier one, but he remains unplaced from four starts and has already been unplaced once around this trip. Still winless, but maps as a genuine place hope.

Was well found in betting at Gold Coast but finished sixth, beaten just over eight lengths, after jumping awkwardly, racing keenly and leading until late. His Warwick third to Divinelle was the better reference, and he has placed three times from ten starts despite not breaking through. Warwick placing reads well enough and he can rebound strongly.

Finished second at Gatton last start when near the top of betting, but he was safely held and had raced wide throughout after beginning awkwardly. The Eagle Farm run prior was plain, with Kowloon Magnate swamping him late over 1800m. Place claims remain stronger than the winning case.

Backs up after only three days from an Eagle Farm fifth on heavy ground, where he was beaten five lengths at big odds in a small mid-week field. The easier meeting helps and his previous third at this venue showed he can be competitive around this distance. Can make his presence felt.

Was fifth at Gold Coast last week after being tightened leaving the 1000m, following a Ballina seventh where she was sent out favourite and picked up late from well back. Blinkers come off and she is fourth-up, but she remains unplaced from six starts and has not raced around 1540m before. Capable of improving. Could sneak a minor spot.

Improved neatly at Grafton last start, finishing fourth behind Steady On and beaten a length and a half after being sent out favourite. That followed a fair debut at Gold Coast, and he now reaches the third run of the campaign with stronger race experience than most. New trip is the query, but his recent form is the strongest winning case.

Returns from a three-month break after ending his first campaign with a seventh at Doomben, beaten seven and a half lengths at big odds. His debut at Gold Coast was also plain, and neither run produced a clear excuse beyond an awkward start first time out. The first-time visor and 2kg claim are positives, but he has to show considerably more under race conditions. Can't recommend.

Was safely held on debut at Kilcoy, finishing fifth behind Whiskey And Rose after settling rearward and only battling from the turn. She was big odds there, but gets weight relief and a 3kg apprentice claim second-up. The first try around 1540m is another unknown, so she has scope to improve without having enough exposed form to rate as a main hope. Maybe later.

Made good progress second-up at Gold Coast, finishing third behind Victoria after being held up approaching the 200m and doing her best work late. Her Lismore debut at long odds was sound enough given she began slowly and covered ground. Third-up with weight relief and looks a serious danger.

Was beaten over 16 lengths on debut at Eagle Farm after beginning slowly and being checked approaching the 1000m, so there was some trouble but the margin was still substantial. Trial win gives some background, but a sharp lift is required.
