Races CRX Moora

Returns from a lengthy spell after a Belmont Park trial win, which gives his comeback a sound platform. He was unwanted and faded to eighth at Pinjarra Scarpside at his final run before a spell, with an early stumble noted, after doing work wide at Northam the run prior. The 1500m record is the query, but his fresh platform gives him the winning case.

Went close when third in a 2yo+ Maiden over 1200m at Mingenew last week, beaten just over a length, and that followed a solid Carnarvon fourth when he got well back before finishing strongly. He steps up to 1500m on the quick back-up, but two previous placings around the trip are encouraging. Quick back-up is the query, but the form is solid for a place push.

Has been safely held at both runs since a break, most recently eighth in a 2yo+ Maiden at Mingenew when beaten five and a half lengths as an outside chance in betting. The previous Carnarvon run was weaker again after travelling handy and offering little late. Not out of this.

Latest effort was poor, finishing tenth at Bunbury and beaten over 11 lengths after beginning slowly and settling too far back to threaten. He was also beaten over 11 lengths at Northam two back, albeit after covering ground. Blinkers and easier company help, but major improvement is required.

Returns from a lengthy spell with only a Lark Hill trial third to suggest readiness. He was last at Narrogin at his final run before a spell, beaten over 19 lengths, after a big-odds Belmont Park tenth where he was slow to begin. Has a fair bit to prove.

Battled on fairly when fifth at Northam last start, beaten over 10 lengths after pressing forward from provincial company. Her previous Northam sixth over 2200m had more merit, beaten just over three lengths despite being tightened early and laying out in the straight. Last margin was plain, but the overall profile keeps her right in it.

Resumed with a ninth at Bunbury, beaten ten lengths after offering little when the pressure went on, and she was big odds there. Her previous run was a last placing at Narrogin over 1900m when she dropped out after racing just off the speed. Can improve now.
