The start prior was stronger, winning by a length at this track after being held up before beating Smashing Nova. Anthony Allen back aboard and the 1200m record keep him a genuine place hope.

Placed first-up at Ipswich when third to Eagle's Fire, beaten half a length at generous odds, and the run carried merit after he was steadied mid-race and forced wide late. His previous fourth in a BM65 at this venue on soft ground was plain, beaten eight lengths, but this is a more suitable assignment. Proven track-and-trip profile keeps him a serious threat.

Returns from a lengthy spell after finishing sixth in a BM65 at Ipswich, beaten just over three lengths at big odds when making late ground from the rear. He trialled at Gold Coast Poly two weeks ago and Matthew Palmer has won two from three on him, which is a useful positive. Has a good jockey record, but recent form must improve sharply.

Comes here two days after finishing last at Ipswich, beaten over 16 lengths at big odds, with no clear excuse offered. His previous fifth in a BM68 at Sunshine Coast was better, beginning slowly before making ground and finishing within three and a half lengths. Earlier BM68 run was better, but he has plenty to turn around.

Drops back from a Class 1 fourth at Gold Coast Poly, where he was near the top of betting, pressed forward and had some late traffic after being tightened early. He was sent out favourite at this track the start prior but tired after leading, finishing just under four lengths behind Sum Invictus. Drawn to use his speed and has place claims if he finishes off.

Dual acceptor. At debut, won won by 1.75 len in a Mdn at this track on October 17 over 1200m on a soft track defeating The Grey One with 59kg at $16. Sure to prove hard to beat.

Has been safely held at his past two Sunshine Coast runs, most recently seventh to Groening on soft ground, beaten six and a half lengths after being hampered near the 400m. The run prior he tracked the lead but could not finish it off when eighth to Paciera. A return to his best is required.

Resumed with a sound fifth in a Class 1 at Eagle Farm, beaten just under three lengths on soft ground after settling back and failing to quicken sharply. This is easier than that mid-week assignment, and she has already shown enough in stronger company to rate highly second-up. Carries the strongest recent profile and can win.

Resumed at this track and finished second last behind Extreme Spirit, beaten over 11 lengths on soft ground after settling rearward and making no late impression. His previous Dalby fourth had more merit, closing from well back to be beaten a length and a half, but that came before a break. Others look much safer.

Returns from a two-month break after finishing fourth at this track, beaten just over a length over 1730m when held up passing the 250m. She had earlier run a close fourth in a Class 1 here at long odds, so the local form has substance. The 2kg claim helps and she is a major winning hope.

Closed off nicely for fifth at Ipswich last start, beaten just over two lengths after being tightened shortly after the start and unwanted in the market. Her previous fourth in a Class 1 at Lismore came after beginning awkwardly and racing wide through the middle stages. Looks a realistic place chance at this level.

Her previous run at this track was also poor, though she raced wide throughout in a Class 1. A recent Gold Coast Poly trial and one win from four starts at this venue offer some hope, but she must show far more than last campaign. Happy to avoid at this stage.
