That form has to be treated carefully, but his Eagle Farm third before that on heavy ground was more reliable. Barrier one helps his place case.

That was a fair introduction at an outside price, but he now comes to this venue second-up, draws wide and tries around 1700m for the first time. There is some upside from one start, yet he still has a fair bit to prove against more exposed maidens. Chance to sneak a minor spot.

She was safely held at Doomben prior, beaten just over eight lengths after beginning slowly. More a place hope than the one to beat.

Had excuses when fifth at this track last start, beginning awkwardly, covering ground and being hampered passing the 500m after starting a well-supported favourite. She was only beaten four and a half lengths there, and her overall profile is stronger than most in this maiden despite the long winless record. Distance placing and recent ratings make her the one to beat.
