He had been plain late in Open grade at Doomben the run prior. Four wins and six placings from 19 starts at this track and distance are strong credentials, but top weight and a deeper BM85 leave him as just a place hope. One for the numbers.

Lifted sharply at this track last start, winning an FM Class 6 over 1000m on heavy ground when she let down well to beat Mishani Crown by half a length at generous odds. That followed a sound fifth at Gold Coast after racing wide. A clear winning chance again.

Before that raced right near the speed and boxed on; won by a head in a Hcp at this track on September 19 over 1200m on a soft track defeating Caspernova with 52.5kg at $2.15. Leading prospect.

Was only collared late by Gospel Girl in FM Class 6 company at this track last start, finishing second and beaten half a length after being steadied near the 800m. The run prior she won a Class 5 at Sunshine Coast as favourite, beating Crackenthorpe by just over a length. Place claims again if she repeats that effort.

His final run last campaign was a fifth in BM78 grade at Gold Coast when favourite, beaten two and a half lengths after charging home, and he had earlier placed at this track on heavy ground. Has track form, but must convert promise into a sharper winning effort.

Before that she won a BM70 at Gold Coast, beating Strada Varenna by a head. Wide draw is the query, but her track-and-distance placing record is strong.

She ended last campaign with a tenth at this track after beginning awkwardly and being steadied, but her prior Sunshine Coast Class 3 win showed what she can do when in rhythm. Strong overall and wet-track records give her solid place claims.

The track and distance records are positives, but she will have to lift on that latest race form. Maybe after this run.
