Second run from a spell 5th of 12 in a Bm68 at this track on October 21 over 1500m, slow going 3 len behind The Dramatist with 59kg at $11. Worth some thought.

Returns from a five-week freshening after another strong second, this time in a CG BM68 at Doomben when beaten just over half a length by Smoke On The Water. He had also placed at this venue in a BM70 after suffering interference early, so the recent form is reliable. Brings the strongest recent form and looks the one to beat.

Backs up quickly after two narrow Gold Coast seconds, most recently beaten just under a length by Divine Justice in a Class 4 on soft ground after tracking the speed. He was held up two back in a Class 5 and still missed by under a length, which keeps the form honest. Wide barrier makes the task harder, but his 1500m record keeps him in the place mix.

Had excuses when third at this track last start, beaten a length and a half on heavy ground after covering ground and being hampered near the 500m. He was also held up more than once as a well-supported favourite at Sunshine Coast the run prior. Prior run had traffic excuses too, and his consistent profile makes him a key danger.

Finished last first-up at Sunshine Coast in a Class 2, beaten seven and a half lengths on heavy ground after racing wide early and failing to finish off. He does come back to a BM65 with a proven 1500m record, and the 1.5kg claim helps a little, but his recent race form is too plain to overlook. The 1500m suits on past form, but he has to improve sharply to threaten.

Was second last at Doomben last start in a Class 3, beaten just over three lengths after beginning awkwardly and copping interference near the 1400m. His Pakenham Synthetic run before that was also only fair in BM74 grade, beaten six and a half lengths in a small field. Place claims are stronger than win claims.

Finished fifth first-up at Ipswich in a BM62, beaten five lengths after beginning awkwardly and lacking a change of gears when the race was there to be attacked. His previous run at Dalby ended with him tailed off, so the form base is thin. This is harder and his recent profile leaves him with plenty to find.

Comes off a Gold Coast Class 1 win where she started odds-on, picked up well and beat Copper Star by just under two lengths. Her previous third at this track behind Tasman Bay was sound after beginning awkwardly, and she has one win and two placings from three starts at this venue. Wide draw is the issue, but the form is strong.

Failed to finish at Ipswich last start after being near the top of betting, with the only noted incident an awkward jump. Her Gold Coast third before that was much better, beaten just over half a length despite racing wide throughout. Her prior wide-run third was good enough to give her place claims.

Was safely held at Sunshine Coast last start, finishing sixth in a Class 2 and beaten just over five lengths after getting a suitable run behind the leaders. That followed a comfortable BM62 win at Gold Coast, where she beat Cantankerous by just under two lengths. Capable of landing a minor cheque if she rebounds.

Returns from a one-month freshening after finishing fifth at Ipswich, beaten just over two lengths in a small field when near the top of betting. She had been favourite in a BM70 at Toowoomba before that but was only fair to the line after racing wide early. Best viewed as a place chance.

Returns from a five-week freshening chasing three straight wins, the latest a BM58 at Sunshine Coast where she led and held on by a head at generous odds. She had won a FM Mdn at Doomben before that, again from the front. Has to lift again.

Returns from a five-week freshening after closing strongly for second in a FM BM68 at Doomben, beaten a length at generous odds. Her previous third at this venue was also solid, beaten just over half a length after letting down nicely. Wet-track record and draw make her a live chance.

Backs up after finishing tenth in a NMW at Doomben, beaten six and a half lengths at long odds, though she was held up late when the race was gone. Her Ipswich sixth before that had more merit, closing off after a slow start to be beaten just over two lengths. The class drop helps, but she must finish off harder.

Won a BM58 at Ipswich last start by a nose from Odin's Mount, adding to a Lismore third in CG BM58 grade when he made ground from well back. Ron Stewart has a good record on him, and barrier one is some help, but this is a stronger BM65 and the rise to 1500m is not without risk. This is stronger, so he will need another step forward.

Ran second at Warwick last start in a Class 2, beaten four lengths by Switchblade after working into the race before being run down late. His Toowoomba eighth prior was only fair at big odds after beginning awkwardly. He has an excellent 1500m record, but now rises from country company to a harder BM65 and must improve on the strength of that latest placing. Suspect this is too rich for him.

Closed off nicely for fourth at this track last start in an Open, beaten just under two lengths on heavy ground after beginning awkwardly and covering ground. That followed a debut Mdn win on the Gold Coast Poly over King Of Valhalla. New 1500m test is the query, but he has place claims.

Returns from a five-week freshening after winning first-up in a Mdn at Sunshine Coast, leading throughout and beating Rising Queen by just under four lengths as favourite. That was a clear improvement on his Ararat run before the break, where he was last at long odds. Wide draw and BM65 company make this a much tougher second-up test.
