Returns from a four-month break after two trials since last racing, so there is some fitness base to work with. He finished fourth in a BM56 at Wangaratta before the break, beaten just over a length after leading on heavy ground as favourite, and was also fourth in a BM56 at Echuca after interference. Can pull out a big run fresh with the two trials under the belt.

Resumes after a five-month break from much stronger Flemington assignments, most recently finishing eighth in Open grade in Saturday company when beaten just over nine lengths at long odds. His previous Quality run was better, making ground from well back after beginning slowly. Mixed trials temper confidence, but the jockey booking and track placing keep him in play.

Brings consistent Victorian provincial form, having run second at Bendigo last start when beaten two lengths after leading and fighting on before being outfinished. Two back she was beaten only a head at Geelong after settling handy and closing off well. Winning edge is the query, but she looks a genuine place chance.

Back after two months on the sidelines following a fourth at this track over 1600m, where he settled rearward and worked home well without threatening. The run prior at this venue was plain, beaten six and a half lengths after being well found in betting. Still winless at the venue and awkwardly drawn.

Has a strong enough profile for this after finishing sixth in a Class 2 at Wagga, beaten three and a half lengths over 1200m when near the top of betting. That followed a Wagga Mdn win by just over a length despite racing wide throughout, with Pierre Boudvillain again aboard. New to 1400m, but the grade suits and the winning rider stays on.

Comes through the same Wagga Class 2 as Choc Chip, finishing second last and beaten five and a half lengths after making some ground from too far back. His Cootamundra fourth prior was sound enough, though he began awkwardly and did not quicken when asked. Place claims best.

Lightly-raced gelding with the most scope in the field, having won his Canberra debut over 1200m with a big finish from well back before finding BM58 grade too sharp at Bathurst last start. That second-last finish was not his best, but he was still beaten under five lengths and now comes back to Class 1 grade third-up with a 1.5kg claim. Third-up in Class 1 grade with a claim, he looks the one to beat.

Had more against him than the Wodonga result suggests, finishing second last in a BM52 but only beaten four and a half lengths after racing keenly and being forced wide near the 250m. His prior Wagga Mdn win over El Cool Gee showed he can finish a race off, and he gets clear weight relief from last start. Must reverse the Wodonga line with I've Forgotten.

Was safely held first-up at Wagga in a Class 2, finishing ninth and beaten just over five lengths at big odds after travelling midfield and only working home evenly. Her Narrandera Mdn win prior was narrow but showed she can race positively when right. The first-up Wagga run leaves plenty to find.

Resumes after eight months off and has been readied with a Wodonga trial win two weeks ago. She ended last campaign with an 11th in a FM BM58 at Wagga after being bumped, while her run prior was a close BM58 second over 1200m on soft ground. The 1400m record is the concern.

Recent form is difficult to recommend, with two last placings this campaign including a well-held Echuca BM56 effort where she hung out around the home turn. She had also been beaten over 11 lengths at Wagga, so the race fitness angle is not enough on its own. Trialled since, but a major turnaround is required.

||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Was unable to go on with it in a BM58 at Wagga last start, finishing second last and beaten just under five lengths after beginning only fairly and lacking the dash to threaten. Her previous Cootamundra Mdn win over Folsomprisonhooves was solid, and she does have a workable 1400m record. Rough place hope.

Had genuine excuses at Wodonga last start, finishing seventh in a BM52 after being held up until the 200m and also racing wide from the 700m. The run prior at Wagga Riverside was much better, winning a Mdn by just over a length from Eyes Right with a neat turn of foot. Prior Mdn win was sharp and the weight relief is valuable.
