Returns from a lengthy spell after ending last campaign with a third at Sale over 1736m, beaten two and a half lengths, when he worked home well behind Natural Ruler. The start prior win at Sale, where he beat Grand Sage despite beginning slowly and covering ground, reads well. Brad Rawiller has two wins and a placing from three rides on him, though his 1400m record leaves the win query. Form last campaign was sound and he draws well, big chance.

Returns from a lengthy spell after finishing fifth in a small F BM70 at the Heath, beaten just under three lengths after leading to the turn. Her Bendigo win prior was stronger, scoring as favourite in a BM62 after travelling well and getting there late. She has had two trials, including a latest third at Horsham, and her 1400m record is solid. Form this grade is strong, should be ready to run well.

Returns off a two-month let-up after tackling the Listed Michael Moroney (Exford Plate) at Flemington, where he jumped awkwardly and was beaten three lengths by Lara Antipova. That is clearly the strongest recent reference in this BM62, and his start-prior Class 1 win at Kembla Grange as favourite was decisive. First-time blinkers go on and he has won a Flemington trial since. Brings the class edge and looks the one to beat.

Went close at this track last start, finishing third and beaten a length after beginning slowly and covering ground. That was a good response to her Geelong eighth, where she was only beaten just over three lengths after jumping awkwardly. She is a track-and-trip winner and has strong recent-year consistency, but the 1400m query in the tags tempers the win confidence. Strong place profile if she repeats that effort.

Returns from a five-week break after winning a Geelong Mdn by a nose at generous odds, making up strong ground despite a slow start and a late search for clear running. That was encouraging, but the jump from Mdn company into a deeper BM62 is the obvious challenge. This is tougher, go both ways.

Broke through in good style at Warrnambool last start, winning a Mdn by two lengths as favourite in an open market and proving too strong from the top of the straight. His previous seventh at this venue over 1200m was better than it reads, picking up late after an awkward start at big odds. John Allen stays with him and the Maher stable is strong at this track. Harder now, but the stable and rider angles keep him in the mix.

Has been honest enough without threatening in two runs this campaign, most recently fourth at Cranbourne and beaten just over five lengths after making ground from the back. Two back at Bendigo he was held up approaching the 300m before finishing fifth in a Class 1. Holly Durnan's 2kg claim helps, and he has placed at the trip, but his winning record is a major concern. Minor money at best with the claim helping.

Had some excuse at this venue last start, finishing sixth but beaten only a length and a half after being held up until the 150m. Her previous run here was plain on paper, although the in-running note says she led and was only run down late despite finishing eighth. Not the worst.

Resumed with a fifth at Bendigo, beaten just under five lengths as one of the better-backed runners, but he raced wide without cover throughout and is entitled to be assessed more kindly. His final run before the break was a plain tenth in Open grade at Sandown-Hillside, so he still has to lift off that recent race form. Fitter and a minor chance.

Backs up quickly after another strong BM66 third at Sale, where she was beaten just over half a length on soft ground and looked ready to pounce before being grabbed late. Her Geelong third prior, at big odds, confirms the form is no fluke. She has two wins and five placings from 14 starts at 1400m and Jake Noonan knows her well. Proven at 1400m and sets up well on speed.

Returns from a lengthy spell after ending last campaign with a fifth at Bendigo over 2200m, beaten two and a half lengths as a well-supported favourite after being held up near the 400m. She had earlier run second at Moe in a BM56, beaten a neck. Respecting but fancy she'll want further.

Returns from a four-week freshening after a disappointing first-up seventh at Cranbourne, beaten seven and a half lengths after racing wide without cover and hanging out. Her Bendigo Mdn win before the break was much better, beating Mission Taichi by two lengths on heavy ground despite covering ground. Bendigo Mdn win gives a reference but she has a bit to find.

Has earned her BM62 chance after winning a Horsham Mdn by just over a length, driving hard late after settling midfield. That followed three straight placings, including a Mt Gambier second as a short odds-on favourite where she worked home evenly. Her career record is reliable and she won her only try at the distance, but this is a far deeper race than maiden grade. Deeper race now, so place claims look the limit.

Has been well below her best at the past two, most recently seventh at this venue over 1100m and beaten just under eight lengths when unwanted in the market. The Ballarat Synthetic tenth prior was no better, as she sat handy and failed to come on in BM56 grade. Gear changes and weight relief help, but a sharp turnaround is required.

Returns from a lengthy spell after finishing sixth at Echuca over 2124m, beaten just under two lengths, when he covered ground and made solid late inroads. His Yarra Valley seventh before that was fair after being held up on straightening. He has trialled at Seymour, but he has not raced at around 1400m before and resumes into a tougher assignment. Echuca effort had merit, but this asks for more speed and polish.

Comes off two very poor runs, most recently last at Kyneton and beaten out of sight after weakening from the 300m with a cardiac arrhythmia reported for the first time. His Mornington run prior was also last, beaten over 18 lengths, after fading badly. Even with weight relief, he has too much to prove.

Returns from a lengthy spell after finishing second at Sale on heavy ground, beaten a length by Harbour Town after working home evenly. Her start prior fourth at this venue came in BM66 grade over 2024m, where she made ground without threatening. Two trials since last raced provide some base, but she has not raced around 1400m before and resumes in a competitive BM62. Untried around 1400m and likely has to improve to threaten.

Returns from a lengthy spell after a plain end to last campaign, finishing seventh of eight at Bendigo in Class 1 grade when unwanted in the market and making no impression. He was also last at Geelong the run prior, beaten seven and a half lengths. Last two race runs were plain, so he must rebound sharply.
