Placed on debut in a Cranbourne Mdn, finishing second to Ottalaus after settling rearward and being beaten two lengths. The market sent him out favourite, and the run had merit given he shifted ground shortly after the start, raced wide near the 600m and was restrained. With race experience now banked he should be very hard to beat.

Made some late inroads from well back when fifth to Deadly Force at Mornington, beaten five lengths after jumping awkwardly and starting at big odds. He now comes back from metro company, which helps, but the Bendigo run prior was plain when seventh and beaten just over eight lengths. Rough hope.

Returns from a five-month break after a disappointing debut at Sale, where he was favourite in a Mdn on heavy ground, led to the turn and faded to finish last, beaten just over six lengths by Commit. His trial profile is more encouraging, with an earlier Pakenham win before a latest unplaced trial, and he should be fitter for that. Can do much better this time around.

Debuts with a useful grounding, having trialled four times and most recently finished a close third at Mornington after winning an earlier trial there. Craig Newitt takes the only ride of his day, and Jerome Hunter has a solid trainer-sire record with this cross. Enough groundwork to be a genuine debut place chance.

She faces a harder meeting from that country run, and her previous effort in an Open at the Heath on soft ground was also only fair. Improvement is possible, but others look stronger.

She did cover ground and was unbalanced near the 600m, so the run was not completely clean, and a Flemington trial win last month offers some readiness. Watch for a betting push.

Debuts from barrier one with some pedigree appeal as a half sister to Group 3 winner Petits Filous, and the trainer-sire combination reads well overall. The immediate trial evidence is only moderate, with two Cranbourne trials for sixth and seventh, so she may be better for the experience. See this one.
