The start prior is the stronger guide, as he beat Killenaule by just over a length at Caulfield Heath after lengthening well. His Caulfield Heath win two back reads well and this looks suitable.

Worked home from well back when seventh at Seymour, beaten three and a half lengths on soft ground, and now moves from country grade to a stronger meeting. His Bendigo third two starts ago at big odds was more encouraging, and he has one win and two places from three runs at this track. Can improve again and take holding out.

This is stronger company and he has not raced around 2000m before, so the rise in distance is the obvious test. Stronger grade and first try around 2000m temper the win case.

His previous run in a BM74 at Sandown-Lakeside on heavy ground was much stronger, when second to Empress Of The Sun over 2400m. First-up run was plain, so a rebound is required.

Finished fourth in an Open at Horsham, beaten just over three lengths after covering ground and keeping on, so the class drop into a BM66 is significant. Before that he drove late to beat Killenaule by a head at Pakenham Synthetic when well found in betting. Can kick up from the inside gate and run well.

Progressive four-year-old who won a BM62 at Morphettville as a well-supported favourite, coming from a long way back to beat Suit Of Wands by a head. He had been narrowly beaten by Foix at this track the run prior after being slow away and held up, so that form stacks up well. Progressive, suited at 2000m and looks one of the hardest to beat.

Drops back from 2580m after finishing seventh at Cranbourne, beaten three and a half lengths when he had every chance but lacked the required change of gears. His third over 2500m two back was sound, yet the sharper pointer is his proven record around 2000m, including a win at this track and distance. Last start was fair, but the setup looks much better now.

Has finished sixth at both runs since resuming, most recently in a BM62 at Geelong when beaten just over four lengths after holding a handy spot and failing to go on. He did charge home late over 1525m the run prior, and the weight relief is some help. Others bring stronger current form.

Closed late for third in a Cranbourne BM70 last week, beaten three and a half lengths after getting well back and racing keenly. That brings him down from metro grade, but his Geelong fifth before that was only steady when near the top of an open market. Place chance.

Broke through in a Mdn at Echuca, overcoming an awkward start and a check near the 300m before finishing powerfully to beat Meet The Prince by a length. That was a clear improvement on his Kyneton fifth at big odds, but this is a much harder step into BM66 company from barrier 12. Has more to prove.
