Her Ballarat run before the break was also only fair, but she has placed three times from eight starts around 1000m and gets a 2kg claim. Can improve but needs to.

Makes her debut with two trials behind her, the latest a Burrumbeet win over 1000m last month. There is also some family substance through Byron Eyes, a five-time winner, and Avoid The Misstres, who won on debut, but the stable debut sample is small and the race-day standard is still unknown. Prefer to see this one.

Returns from a lengthy spell after a sound debut third at Albury, where she was near the top of betting and beaten just under three lengths by Complaisance over 1175m. She has since changed trainer and won a Pakenham Synthetic trial last week, which is a useful readiness sign. Has upside against a few of these.

Returns from a two-month let-up with a better case than the Ballarat ninth suggests, as she raced wide throughout before finishing just over nine lengths from Superbec. Her previous Sale second in a Mdn was strong, beaten a neck after a slow start and interference near the 250m. Can bounce back here.

Debuts for Simon Zahra off three trials, with the two Flemington hit-outs most relevant: second on October 16 and a close third a week later. The stable has won with three of 19 debut runners in the supplied sample, and the Shalaa mare draws well in barrier three. Should be ready to go.

Back from a six-month break after ending last campaign with a seventh in a Kilmore Mdn, beaten seven and a half lengths after jumping awkwardly. The Geelong run prior was weaker again when last, beaten over 13 lengths in a F Mdn, but she has since won a Cranbourne trial and draws barrier two. Place at best.

Led on debut at Ballarat in a F Mdn but was claimed soon after straightening and faded to finish second last, beaten just over nine lengths, after starting at generous odds. She has since won a Flemington trial, so there is some scope to be sharper second-up, yet the race-day evidence was plain and offered no obvious excuse. Can improve second-up, but the race form must rise sharply.

Worked home from the rear for fourth at this track last start, beaten five lengths by Deadly Force after beginning slowly, and that was a more encouraging effort than her Moe fifth when she was beaten just over nine lengths. She is third-up and race fit, but remains unplaced from three starts around 1000m and returns quickly after 10 days. Can improve again and is in the mix.

Was fourth at Cranbourne in a Mdn last start, beaten six lengths at big odds after being caught wide early, which gives the run some merit. Two back at Donald she was last, beaten eight and a half lengths, after racing three wide without cover. Barrier 15 makes the task even harder.

Makes her debut after two Cranbourne trials, improving from fourth to win the latest over 800m. The Alexander Rae debut figures are interesting, with seven placings from 14 starters, and Lachlan Neindorf has a handy track profile. Clear winning chance, watch betting.

The trainer debut sample has produced two placings from six starters, which is some background support, yet there is no standout trial result to lean on. Drawn well, watch the betting.

Was well beaten first-up at Bendigo, finishing second last and beaten over 17 lengths after covering ground and making no late impression. Her Kyneton run before the break was only ninth, beaten six lengths, and she remains unplaced from three goes around 1000m and one run at this track. Not showing enough.

Resumes after six months with two trial wins since last racing, including a Mornington trial a few weeks ago, so she has at least been sharpened for the return. Her race form is the issue: eighth at Pakenham before the break, beaten nine and a half lengths after racing keenly and laying out, followed a heavy-track fifth beaten over 13 lengths. Race form leaves a lot to be desired.

Debuts after winning a Moe trial over 675m two weeks ago, which gives her a positive starting point. She cost $700 and is a half-sister to Rue De Palais, a city winner at Launceston and Hobart, while Kensington Diva placed on debut over 1000m. Prefer to see.
