The move from country grade into a harder meeting asks more, though her Pakenham Synthetic fifth prior was better when she charged home from the rear and was beaten just under four lengths. Her Pakenham run gives some minor hope, but she profiles more as a place chance.

The Ben, Will & JD Hayes stable has a 17% debut strike rate from the supplied figures, and Damien Thornton is a capable booking for a first starter. She had also been hampered at the start before running fifth there over 1300m on soft ground, so there is substance in both recent efforts. Brings the strongest exposed profile, go close.

She was near the top of an open market, so there was some expectation, and second-up improvement is possible from a $40,000 yearling purchase. Better now and up in trip should suit.

Her Geelong fifth prior in a F Mdn was less convincing after racing wide throughout, but that excuse is relevant. Heading the right way and D Lane on is a good lead.
