His previous fourth at the same venue had more merit than the market expected after he was tightened early and steadied near the 900m. Proven around 1470m and looks a major winning hope despite the weight.

Had legitimate excuses when seventh at Gatton last start, jumping awkwardly, racing keenly and covering ground throughout before being beaten over 14 lengths. The run prior in a BM70 at Toowoomba was plain when last and beaten over 15 lengths, so the recent form remains a concern. Place claims only if he turns things around.

Was fourth in a BM50 at Taroom last start, beaten four and a half lengths after being near the top of betting, and now rises from picnic grade to a harder BM55. The stronger reference is his Emerald third two runs back when beaten just over half a length after beginning awkwardly and having trouble getting clear. Has to absorb the rise from BM50 company, but he is honest enough for exotics.

Dropped out to finish last in a BM60 at Kilcoy last start, beaten over 13 lengths at long odds after sitting just off the lead and failing to pick up. His second at this track two runs ago was better, albeit still beaten five and a half lengths, and he has placed at this venue. Class relief helps, but he looks more place than win.

Returns from a two-month break after a Warra BM60 run where she was slow away and finished second last, beaten over 14 lengths. She had been second at this track the start before, though that was in BM50 grade and she was still beaten just over eight lengths. The inside draw and prior placing at this venue keep her in minor calculations.

Gets a useful class drop after finishing sixth in a BM58 at Ipswich, where he was unwanted in the market and beaten nine lengths after interference near the 1400m. His Beaudesert run prior was more encouraging, finishing five lengths away after staying in contention for a long way. Last-start margin was plain, but he has the right setup to improve.

Resumed with a last placing at Kilcoy, beaten over 13 lengths after settling well back and making no ground, with only a mid-race steadier as minor context. She had also finished a distant last at Dalby in her previous run and was unwanted in betting there. Has to find sharp improvement.

She had been well held at Talwood prior, but her broader recent record is sound for this grade. The 1470m record is the query, but she brings the right winning profile.

Third-up now, but the first two runs of the campaign have been poor. She began slowly and gave further ground late when second last at Gatton, beaten over 14 lengths at long odds, after a similar Nanango run in BM50 grade.
