Finished third at Eidsvold last start as favourite, beaten two lengths, and the stewards' note that he was tightened near the 1000m gives that effort some context. His Nanango win prior was strong, beating Ariat by four lengths despite beginning slowly and racing wide from the 800m. Proven at the trip and a major player again.

Led and fought hard to win by a nose at Warwick last start, starting favourite and holding off The Catch on soft ground. His previous fifth came in BM85 grade at Toowoomba, where he began awkwardly but still held a position to the turn. The 1600m record is the query, but he has the form to be competitive.

Went close at Tara last start, finishing second to Don Pedro and beaten just under a length in a small field. That followed a Quality win at Taroom, where he was the well-supported favourite and beat Stratified by half a length. Genuine place hope, with the draw the main concern.

Returns from a three-month break after a heavy defeat at this track, where he was sixth and beaten over 16 lengths after racing wide without cover throughout. His previous fourth at Nanango behind Grinzinger Knight was sounder, but that rival meets him again and the overall task is stiffer. Has to return in much sharper order.

Was last of three at this track in a BM70 over 1030m last start, beaten over 17 lengths after being slow to begin. The run prior at Warra was also plain, finishing last and well beaten in BM60 grade after starting at big odds. Must find a lot more than he has shown lately.

Backs up quickly after finishing fifth at Gold Coast over 1800m, beaten eight and a half lengths in provincial company at big odds. His previous Sunshine Coast run in BM70 grade was also plain, finishing second last after making no impression late. Place claims only if he lifts on those efforts.

Charged home to win a BM60 at Toowoomba last week, overcoming a slow start and being held up near the 200m before beating Turf Gazette by a nose. She had also placed in BM58 grade at Sunshine Coast two back, again from a rearward position, so the recent form has real substance. Class drop and 1600m record keep her right in the race.

Was second last at Eidsvold last start, beaten six and a half lengths by Koruto after jumping awkwardly. The start prior was much better, winning a BM65 at St George by just under five lengths from Rangi Toa when near the top of betting. Others bring stronger current claims.

Returns from a six-week freshening with a favourable class and weight set-up after an unplaced Toowoomba run in BM58 grade. She gave little late there and was unwanted in the market, but her previous Warra second behind Linwar showed she can be effective when allowed to build into the race. Warra second two back gives her the right platform to bounce back.

Finished third at Kilcoy last start in BM58 grade, but was beaten eight and a half lengths and lacked the turn of foot to threaten Trusty Bandit. The prior win at this track was far more encouraging, scoring by five and a half lengths in BM55 grade from Von Bee. A repeat of the local win is required.

Had excuses at Sunshine Coast last start in BM58 grade, settling back, racing wide throughout and keenly before finishing second last, beaten seven lengths. His Goondiwindi run prior was disappointing as favourite, beaten over 12 lengths after an awkward jump. Place at best.

Ran second at Kilcoy last start in BM58 grade, but the beaten margin was just over eight lengths and he lacked the dash to worry Trusty Bandit. His previous Gatton run was much weaker, finishing last and beaten over 16 lengths after early interference. Has to improve sharply.
