Built on a closing fourth at Gold Coast by winning a BM62 at Warwick, where he sat behind the speed and beat Little Vain by a length and a half on soft ground. This is harder company than that country assignment and the class rise is the clear test, even with the apprentice claim helping. Proven at 1300m, but he still has to lift on that Warwick level to trouble the stronger hopes. Suspect this to be a touch too rich for him.

Improved third-up when fourth in a BM70 at Warwick, beaten just over two lengths by Angara after tracking the speed. His previous sixth at this track had merit after jumping awkwardly and racing keenly before picking up late. Top weight is the query, but the 1300m record gives him place claims.

Was favourite in a Class 2 at Warwick last start but weakened sharply after leading and was beaten over 14 lengths by Switchblade. Two back he was second in the same grade after racing wide throughout, so there is a run there, and blinkers come off. Can't recommend with any confidence.

Had genuine excuses as a well-supported favourite at Sunshine Coast, held up several times in the straight when fourth and beaten just under three lengths by The Dramatist. He had been beaten only half a length at Gold Coast the run prior, also after being held up. Strong 1300m profile gives him a real winning chance.

Led throughout to win a BM70 at Warwick at big odds, beating Breezin' by a length after recovering from a jump incident. That followed a second in Open grade at Talwood, so his latest form reads well enough on paper. The issue is that this is harder than country company and he is an older gelding with a modest recent strike-rate, leaving him with more to prove than the main chances. Not this time.

Led and was overrun late when fourth in a CG BM68 at Doomben, beaten two and a half lengths by Smoke On The Water, and he meets Gaultier again off that form line. Two back he started a short odds-on favourite at Ipswich but was safely held after leading. Has to finish off better after being overrun at his last two.

Returns from a one-month freshening after a first-up sixth in a BM68 at Warwick, where he settled back and only held ground when beaten two and a half lengths by Wolfgang. His final run of the previous campaign was a last placing in Class 4 company at Ipswich. Proven at 1300m, but he has to show more second-up.

Was only beaten just under two lengths in a BM70 at this track last start, but he was a well-supported favourite and had every chance without quickening. The previous Doomben second in Class 2 grade was better, as he was slow away, wide from the 800m and still beaten only a neck by Boss Mode. Third-up class drop sets him up a treat.

Won a Doomben Mdn first-up by just under two lengths, overcoming a slow start, covering ground and a late check to beat Stellagracia with something in reserve. His earlier third at this track in Mdn grade also showed he can hold form at the venue. Class rise is the test, but the upside is strong.

Has been knocking loudly, finishing third in a CG BM68 at Doomben when beaten just over a length after looming and fighting on. That followed a head defeat in Class 1 grade at this track, and his recent record shows one win and three placings from five runs in the past 12 months. Wet form, strong recent record and the right grade make him a key chance.

Made it two wins from three this campaign with a strong Class 1 victory at Gold Coast, beating Copper Star by just under two lengths as an odds-on favourite. She was also third at this track the run prior after jumping awkwardly and being bumped. Wide draw is the main concern.

Went close at Toowoomba last start, second and beaten a long neck by Upstart Lover after being bumped at the start and racing wide throughout. The Beaudesert fourth prior in Class 2 grade was plain on margin, but he did suffer interference near the 900m. Wide draw and wet-track unknowns keep him more to a place chance.

Has placed in all three runs this campaign, most recently third at Ipswich over 1666m when beaten just under a length by Swanfels in a small field. Two back he again filled third at Ipswich, working home evenly at generous odds. Yet to prove effective in testing conditions, so looking to others.

Was unwanted in betting and only fair late when sixth in a BM74 at Ballina, beaten just under five lengths by Shredded after beginning slowly and being bumped shortly after the start. The Talwood run prior was well held in Open grade. Hard to recommend without a clear form turnaround.

Resumed at this track in Open grade and was second last, beaten eight and a half lengths by Kickup Rocky after settling back and failing to threaten. His previous run was a heavy-track Mdn win at Gold Coast, where he beat Elevating narrowly as a very short odds-on favourite. Suspect he can rebound sharply.

Was seventh in a BM68 at Sunshine Coast first-up, beaten just under four lengths by Oohlalouvre after jumping awkwardly. His previous run was a last placing in the Listed Tattersalls Stakes at this track, where he led into the straight but dropped out and was beaten over 13 lengths. Unplaced at 1300m and has plenty to prove.

Finished third first-up in a Class 2 at Grafton, beaten just under a length by Midwest Princess after beginning only fairly, being checked and held up near the turn. That was a sound return, and he has one win from two starts at this distance. Wide draw makes the task tougher.

Backs up quickly after a big-odds third in Class 1 grade at this track, beaten just over a length by Drinkwater after interference, being held up and losing gear late. His Doomben second before that also came from well back at big odds. Knocking on the door but has so far proven ineffective on wet ground.

Chases a hat-trick after winning a CG BM58 at Ipswich by a length and a half over Tulong, having previously won a BM55 at Beaudesert as favourite. The 1300m record is solid and he has been very consistent over the past 12 months. This is a clear class rise from CG BM58 and BM55 grade, however, so he has to prove those wins translate against stronger opposition. This looks too tough for him.

Returns from a lengthy spell after ending last campaign with a sixth at Kilcoy, where he was close enough on the turn but did not quicken. He did win over 1800m at Sunshine Coast earlier in that campaign and has trialled at Doomben a few weeks ago, which gives him some readiness. Thin 1300m record and likely better for the run, so not recommending.

Comes back on a one-week turnaround after finishing fourth in a BM62 at Ipswich, beaten just over three lengths by Divine Justice at big odds. He was also eighth behind Azuki in a CG BM58 the start before after jumping awkwardly and only battling. The quick back-up is in his favour and he has deep 1300m experience, but his season form is well short of what is required. Unlikely to threaten.
