Nearly pinched the Listed Hannans Handicap at Kalgoorlie last week, leading to the turn and going under by a neck to Hoba West at long odds. That was a sharp lift on his second-last effort in the Listed Farnley Stakes, but this is a harder venue and he carries top weight even with the claim. Better last start but he's hard to have on his form prior.

Was well below expectations first-up in the Listed Hannans Handicap at Kalgoorlie, finishing 11th and beaten eight and a half lengths after settling rearward and making no impression. His fourth in the Listed Old Comrade Stakes at this venue last campaign is a much better guide, and he is a track-and-trip winner. Things didn't go to plan last start at Kalgoorlie but he's better than that and an improved run is on the cards.

Won a Benchmark 72+ at Belmont Park last start, coming from off the speed to beat Country God by a nose and turning around a plain Benchmark 66+ run seven days earlier. He also beat Pond Master in that latest race, has two wins from three starts this season and owns two wins from four tries around 1400m. Recent trial was just fair, though his last start rating stacks up.

Returns from a five-month break after ending last campaign with a wide run at Northam in Benchmark 66+ grade, where he was unwanted in betting and faded to finish second last. His previous win at this venue, beating Soldanelle by a nose, shows the better side of his form. Looks ready to fire on resumption.

Has put together consecutive Benchmark 72+ thirds at Belmont Park, most recently beaten a length and a half by Silent Diva after working home evenly from back in the field. His previous third had more merit after a slow start and a lack of clear running on straightening. Place hope.

Returns from a lengthy spell with a Belmont Park trial win behind him, which is a solid pointer for a first-up assignment. He was last seen finishing fifth in the G2 WATC Derby at this track after racing wide from the 900m, and his earlier second in the Listed Melvista Stakes reads strongly for this grade. Trial coming in was super and he has a very progressive profile.

Has come back in good order, winning a Benchmark 72+ at Belmont Park over 1000m before going under by only a neck to Six Shooter in the same grade over 1200m. He travelled well and fought hard last start, and now reaches the third run of the campaign with a solid 1400m record behind him. Just missed last start but things look to shape nicely third-up out in distance.
