Finished second in a Class 5 at this track last week, beaten just under a length by Aratiri after being held up passing the 400m and laying in late. His previous Beaudesert fifth had more merit than the market expected, and the step to around 1724m suits a gelding with a win and two placings from four tries in this distance range. Suited at the trip and looks the horse they have to beat.

Had excuses in a country Benchmark 66 at Lismore last start, beginning slowly and being held up before finishing fourth, beaten three and a half lengths. He had earlier run a close third there at big odds on soft ground, so the form has some depth. Harder company now, but blinkers help his place case.

Led to the turn in a Benchmark 68 at Sunshine Coast last week and fought on for fourth, beaten a length and a half by Out Of Luck. Two back he was again fourth in a Benchmark 70 after beginning awkwardly, so he is holding his level without quite putting a race away. Out Of Luck had his measure last week, so place profile.

Returned to winning form in a Benchmark 68 at Sunshine Coast last week, coming from the second half to beat Don'Tcha Think by a head with some market support behind him. The run prior at this track was also sound when fifth, beaten a length after making ground from well back. The 1724m record is light, but he is racing well enough for minors.

Eases from Doomben mid-week company after finishing fourth in a small field, beaten just under four lengths by Perfect Play when unable to get into the race. His previous Ipswich third in a Benchmark 65 was stronger, beaten a length and a half at generous odds. Has the recent figures to give this a real shake.

Steps from a country Benchmark 62 win at Warwick into harder company after scoring by half a length over 1500m from Hang Out, despite being slow to begin. Holds appeal.

Finished tenth in a Benchmark 58 at Sunshine Coast last week, beaten five and a half lengths after settling back and offering only a fair finish, with no clear excuse. Her Toowoomba second two starts ago was better, as she covered ground and still finished off. Weight relief helps, but she must rebound sharply.

Comes off a last placing in a country Benchmark 58 at Ballina, beaten five lengths after sitting close enough and failing to quicken. The Lismore eighth before that came in Class 3 grade when he raced wide and was unwanted in betting, so recent form leaves him with work to do. Others have stronger recent form.
