Went within a length of Sandfire Rose at Kalgoorlie last week in a 4yo+ NMW1Y, travelling well behind the speed before fighting on strongly for third. Two back he made ground from well back in a 3yo+ Open, so the recent form reads well for this. Gets the right setup to break through.

Bounced back sharply at Mingenew last start, leading to the turn and kicking clear to beat Western Impact by just under two lengths as favourite in a 2yo+ Benchmark 56+. That followed an eighth at Bunbury in 3yo+ Class 5 company, where he made some late ground without threatening. First go at the mile is the query, but place claims are clear.

Improved when second to Hard Questions over 2000m at Mingenew last start, working home evenly after beginning only fairly and starting at generous odds. That was a better run than his Belmont Park ninth in 3yo+ NMW1Y grade, when he made no impression late at long odds. Not out of this if he runs up to his latest effort with the blinkers going back on.

Finished fourth behind Repeater at Mingenew last start in a 2yo+ Benchmark 56+, beaten five lengths after being near the top of an open market. That was at least an improvement on his Belmont Park failure, where he was unwanted and beaten over 15 lengths on soft ground. Others are better credentialed.

Kept his consistent run going when second to Repeater at Mingenew, beaten just under two lengths after travelling well behind the leaders in a 2yo+ Benchmark 56+. The run prior he overcame a slow start and wide passage to beat Solar System narrowly at Carnarvon. Has to turn that form around, but profiles as a solid place hope.

Was safely held at Mingenew last start, finishing last behind Hard Questions and beaten over 11 lengths after travelling into it but offering little in the straight. His Carnarvon second two back was much better, beaten just over half a length as a well-supported favourite in a 3yo+ Benchmark 56+. Has to bounce back sharply.

Could only manage sixth at Geraldton last start in a 3yo+ Class 2, beaten seven and a half lengths at big odds despite picking up in the straight. His previous Carnarvon run was weaker again, beaten over 13 lengths behind Another Nephew after giving away a start. Quick back-up is not enough to make him a strong case.

Comes back quickly after a well-beaten fourth behind Dirty Habits over 2200m at Kalgoorlie in a 3yo+ NMW1Y, where he led but was beaten over 11 lengths. Two back he was seventh in the Listed Boulder Cup, beaten four and a half lengths after being unwanted in the market, which is respectable company for this. Last week was plain, but back to 1600m he is a leading danger.
