He was plain in Benchmark 62 company at Toowoomba two back, but now peaks third-up and the blinkers go on. The 1500m is the query, but he has the strongest winning case.

Found little from the back when eighth in Benchmark 65 grade at Toowoomba last start, beaten four and a half lengths after jumping awkwardly and being unwanted in the market. The Dalby fourth in Benchmark 62 grade was similar in margin, though he did meet interference late. Only an outside place hope.

Finished fourth in Benchmark 65 company at Beaudesert last start, beaten six and a half lengths after beginning awkwardly and failing to finish off as the market expected. That followed a narrow Maiden win at Ipswich on soft ground, beating Prophet Of Destiny by a nose. Has to find more against these.

Was beaten three and a half lengths when seventh as favourite in Benchmark 58 grade at Sunshine Coast last week, though he did race keenly and met interference on the home turn. His Dalby Maiden win prior was decisive, scoring by seven and a half lengths from Zouman as a well-supported favourite. Weight relief keeps him in the place picture.

Closed off well for third in Benchmark 55 grade at Gatton last start, beaten just over a length by Water Lad after being steadied late. He had also run second at Beaudesert despite being forced wide near the 300m, so the form pattern is reliable. Looks a genuine winning danger.

Broke through in a 3yo+ Maiden at this track last start, beating Worthy Stunnah by just over two lengths after leading and letting down strongly at long odds. The Goondiwindi run prior was only eighth in another 3yo+ Maiden, beaten just over five lengths. This Class 2 asks more, and his unplaced 1500m attempt leaves him with work to do. One for the exotics.

Finished eighth in Benchmark 58 grade at this track last start, beaten six and a half lengths at big odds, and there was no clear excuse. The Townsville sixth in Benchmark 55 grade two back was also safely held after he failed to finish it off. Soft ground helps a little, but he profiles as a place chance at best.

His Ipswich sixth in CG Benchmark 58 company prior was better than the placing, beaten just over two lengths after picking up nicely. Must turn the tables on Starboard but rates strongly.

She had been beaten only a head at Nanango in Benchmark 55 grade as a short odds-on favourite. Weight relief gives her solid place claims.

Was last in a small-field Benchmark 65 at St George last start, beaten over 16 lengths, and now meets a harder assignment coming from picnic company. He had also finished last in a Class 3 at this track two back, beaten nine and a half lengths at big odds after making no impression. Hard to recommend on current form.

Finished fourth in Benchmark 50 grade at Taroom last start, beaten four and a half lengths as one of the main hopes, and now comes from picnic grade into a harder race. His Emerald third in Benchmark 55 grade four days earlier had more merit, beaten just over half a length after struggling for clear running. Weight relief keeps him in the minor-money mix.

Was last in Benchmark 55 grade at Tara first-up, beaten over 16 lengths in a small field, and this is a harder race coming from picnic company. The old Coonabarabran placing is the only real positive.
